Various Benefits of Yoga and Meditation

In Yoga, the brain is considered as the object and the body being the subject. It teaches to spread out the energy to the other parts of the body. This is the only form of exercise that is highly proficient in involving the mind and soul. Meditation is enrichment to your soul. A meditative state is constituted as a classification of yoga. The spiritual benefit of meditation is an ultimate kingdom come or enlightenment which is often misunderstood by many. Yoga and Meditation has many benefits that you yourself will need to be stronger inside out. Their benefits will surely make you more interested in doing this kind of exercise.

1. Yoga increases flexibility. It involves the practice of different Yoga postures, which works to the different joints of the body. This turn helps get rid of common ailments like backaches, headaches, etc. Increasing flexibility is very important. Yoga has positions that functions the whole body specially the joints that are not often used during exercise. Correcting Yogic stretching develops the entire body. Once the whole body is trained together, it will develop harmony and balance in the body. When resisting muscle groups are all trained, flexibility will function faster as the contrasting muscle group's work together not against or without each other.

2. Yoga can also help you control blood pressure. It is an alternative treatment that you can use to regulate: blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, respiratory function, high stress level, metabolic rate. That's the technical side. But the regulation of these have equal benefits on the physical side. For example, regulation of blood pressure can help in fighting the risk of being hypertensive (ailment that pertains to our blood pressure levels).

3. Yoga tones the muscles. You can get rid of the excess fat without sweating. It can also stimulate your muscle without working out too hard.

While in meditation, it will improve your body lustre and general health. This has to focus on one particular part of the body. It increases the blood flowing. Cells will receive more oxygen and nutrients. Meditation will also improve your concentration. It strengthens the mind and keeps it under control that will enable you to provide guidance to your body effectively.

4. Meditation lowers your oxygen consumption. It decreases by 10 to 20%, leading to a deep state of relaxation, even more effective than a night of sleep. It reduces pre- menstrual syndrome and anxiety attacks by lowering the levels of blood lactate.

5. Meditation keeps your heart healthy. Yes, meditation can help keep your heart in shape by increasing your blood flow, which slows your heart rate. Less work for your heart. It also increases the production of serotonin which influences mood and behavior. (A low level of serotonin is associated with depression, obesity, insomnia and headaches and enhances the immune system.)

6. Meditation helps build your endurance. Meditation decreases respiratory rate and muscle. This act allows you to build your endurance. People with higher endurance tend to be more productive throughout the day. Being able to accomplish a lot of things gives people the sense of happiness through fulfillment. If there is one reason to start on yoga and meditation, this should close the deal.

7. Meditation reduces the activity of emotional distress. What gets the best of us? Our emotions. Everybody experiences emotional distress with or without us even aware of it. Don't let your emotions get the best of u. Let the relaxation benefits of meditation help you keep your cool during these emotionally battering moments.

8. Meditation helps resolve phobias. One of the most difficult things people can be face with is their fears. It is hard to get over the fear of heights, water, enclosed spaces, open spaces, and even spiders. We all have our own fears a.k.a. phobias, and we all have to face them one way or another for us to enjoy life to the fullest. This is why meditation comes in handy. Meditation has this unique way of helping our brains resolve our phobias. Although, it doesn't work like magic but with constant practice, meditation can help you get there.
