Writing Triumph Articles - Adversity Builds Character

February 29, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 195

It is my contention and also the view of many in the online article sector that writing inspirational articles and personal testimonials of triumph over adversity is a wise concept. Indeed, there are many reasons why I believe this, first, they are compelling, second, they help people, and third, the world needs more positive content like this online. Okay so, let's talk about this shall we?

You see, online articles which tell a story of human will against surmountable odds really seem to capture the human spirit, and if an article author does it correctly, it becomes an unforgettable story for the reader. The other day, I became involved in a dialogue online about using what is coined as a "Triumph Article" template to do just this. Specifically to tell a story of how the author had beaten the odds and survived, eventually achieving their objectives.

There is a lot to be said for this type of article and literary play. Now then, an excellent online article writer noted on this topic that; "no one likes a braggart" and whereas I do agree, I also believe this reality is mostly due to pathetically low self-esteem in human societies. Folks don't want to be made to feel small when reading an article. But I believe they do wish to learn from those who have achieved more than they.

You see, personally, I do not have a problem with matter-of-factly having an author state their achievements, as it allows me to certify the information as coming from a relevant source. Those who have an earned ego, of course, well they are not braggarts, only those who overstate their credentials or abilities, which bugs me too. I'd say that folks who misrepresent their achievements, especially in informational marketing articles are downright fraudulent.

Okay so, there are some ways folks can use the "Triumph" motif in business articles too, as most all entrepreneurs and business owners have plenty of speed bumps along the way. Thus, it's almost like a Problem/Solution article with the author giving a first-hand account and testimonial.

Christians also use this type of story to recruit others to the Christian faith as they witness to others about how their life was changed, and the hardships they had before they converted perhaps. I bet, as an author that you could brainstorm and come up with endless uses for this "Triumph" template for your future articles, and then write one in every category that you participate in, or business sector you are involved with, without trampling on the sensitivity of those in society with low self-esteems, who portray themselves as anti-ego, or against braggarts.

Additionally, I've sort of developed a similar style of article, which I've had success with, many I've placed in the "Inspirational Category" and I've always added a bit of Kryptonite to the actual overcoming of barriers, hardships, and challenges along the way, as it tells a better story. In other words, slightly calming the nerves of those who see high self esteem and confidence as crossing the threshold for arrogance by over emphasizing the hardships prior to the achievement.

Now then, no matter what your niche, when you describe overcoming adversity, building character, and finally achieving your goals, you give inspiration to the reader, and sometimes that's all it takes for them to succeed too. So, think of all the great things you can do for folks by getting them in a positive place to end the day victorious without giving up?
