Green Smoothie Recipes: The Simple Ingredients That Make Big Improvements to Your Health

If you want to improve your health, gain energy and lose weight then you have to give green smoothies a try. Most people don't manage to eat enough greens and that is a big reason why people are deficient in certain nutrients. We simply don't like to eat enough of them. Greens are better for us if consumed in a raw state but they are very hard to eat like this. This is why green smoothies are so popular, as you can blend up your greens with your fruit and not have to chew them. The best part of a green smoothie is the taste. They taste so sweet and delicious and if it wasn't for the green colour, you really wouldn't know you were eating greens at all. Green smoothies are also a good way to detox and cleanse the body.

These green smoothie recipes are all delicious. There is a good balanced collection of recipes here that will suit every taste, budget and season.

I really hope you enjoy these smoothies. All the ingredients are very easy to source. Hopefully you can find all the ingredients in normal shops or you may actually have them in your kitchen already. You can also substitute any of the greens if you can find other leafy greens than the ones mentioned here. In addition, if you can't find ripe fresh, seasonal fresh fruit, you may like to try frozen or tinned fruit which is a big time saver too.

Each recipe makes 2 large servings. To make the green smoothies, Blend all the ingredients until smooth.

6) Exotic 2 C water 1 mango 1 C pineapple 1 C mixed baby leaves

7) Frugal 2 C water 2 apples 1 banana ½ cucumber

8) Sweetness Start 2 C water 1 C strawberries 1 mango 1 C spinach

9) Peachy Pail 2 C water 3 peaches 1 banana 2 celery stalks

10) Blueberry Bliss 2 C water 1 C blueberries 1 banana 1 C spinach

11) Berry Best 2 C water 1 C mixed berries 1 mango 1 C spinach

12) Raspberry Ripple 2 C water 1 C raspberries 1 banana 1 C bok choy/ pak choi
