The Miami area has long been renowned for its sun, sea and beaches, its financial institutions and massively fast growth in Real Estate of recent years. Its numerous depictions in media have taken the form of popular television series and blockbuster films which have added to the drama of the area. An important tourism center, the bustling metropolitan area is a hotbed of shops, restaurants, businesses, sports and cultural activities and boasts a diverse and varied group of people. 4. With over 50 diveable wrecks of all types, Miami is considered one of the diving capitals of the world for wreck-diving. Ships, army tanks, oil platforms and even a Boeing 727 jet are amongst the available wrecks to explore.

5. Miami is home to the only everglades eco-system in the world.

6. Miami was ranked as the cleanest city in America by Forbes Magazine.

7. Interestingly enough, Miami city has the smallest land area of any major American city.

8. Miami has over 250 days of sunshine a year on average.

9. Miami has the largest privately-owned and operated trade zone in the world, the Miami Free Trade Zone.
