April 16, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 106

Have you always dreamed of taking a South America vacation? Journey to Brazil, even in a week you can experience some of the best sights in Brazil. Check out this sample week itinerary to help you start planning your dream Brazil vacation.

Start your once in a lifetime adventure by flying to Brazil's "Marvelous City," Rio de Janeiro. Depending on your flight schedule spend the afternoon or evening exploring the city and getting adjusted to Brazilian life.

Start your first full day in Brazil exploring the wonders of Rio de Janeiro. There are many options for your time in Rio de Janeiro as there is much to see and do. A perfect way to get acquainted with the city is by taking a tour up the Corcovado, the hill that sits in the middle of the city. To arrive at the top you will travel through the Tijuca forest which is the largest urban forest in the world. Once you reach the summit you will have fantastic views of the city, and get to see one of the Seven New Wonders of the World, the Christ the Redeemer statue. After you enjoy the beautiful view, head back down and explore the city even more.

Spend another day exploring Rio de Janeiro, if you are looking for even more spectacular views take a cable car ride up Sugarloaf Mountain. A tour up Sugarloaf will give you great views of the city and they tend to be less crowded than the Corcovado tour, and provide a better view of the Copacabana beach. A great way to spend the evening is to enjoy dinner at one of the local churrasqueria's where you will be served a traditional Brazilian meal, full of delicious Brazilian meat!

For your last day in Rio de Janeiro spend the day relaxing on the beach. The Copacabana is famous and rightfully so as the beach is a great place to relax and enjoy the tropical weather and scenery of Brazil. After a full day of relaxing on the beach or exploring more of Rio de Janeiro, get ready for the next destination on this sample itinerary, the impressive Iguazu Falls.

In the morning head to the Iguazu Falls, arguably the most impressive waterfalls in all of South America. The falls are comprised of 275 distinct waterfalls which sit on the border of Argentina and Brazil, making it accessible from both countries. Exploring the falls is the perfect way to spend the next two days on your Brazil vacation. Explore first from the Brazil side which provides more panoramic views of the park, and on your second day in Iguazu head to the Argentina side of the falls. The Argentina side allows you to get up close and personal with the falls, by exploring the upper and lower walkways in the park.

On the final day of this sample itinerary you will make your way back to Rio de Janeiro to catch your flight home, or add on another one of the other amazing Brazil destinations to extend your Brazil vacation.

This week-long sample itinerary for your Brazil vacation was written by a travel expert at Brazil For Less, specialist in great value Brazil vacation packages who can help you organize a fully customized Brazil vacation.
