Building a List, Lead Gen, Getting More Clients And Everything Your Online Business Needs in Between

"How do I build a list or generate more leads when I have no idea how to get more clients?

There are two things your business needs. Not one but two.

A product or service to sell and clients to sell them to.

But before you think I'm suggesting you act like an annoying used car salesperson who mentions their product or service constantly, I'm not. The only way you'll ever get to your financial security online is to build a list, generate more leads and following of ideal clients who want what you have way before you even bring up your product or service to them. I must say, it's about the easiest way to sell.

You should be working on building a list daily, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Building a list of clients is your primary goal. Copywriting is great but if you have no clients to market to...then copy is not king. You may have a great product or service but that means nothing if you have the wrong list. The right list with your ideal clients makes running a business a piece of cake. And profitable too!

In order to generate more leads, you must find out who is your ideal client?

This can be found out by researching who is purchasing products in your niche market. Don't try to reinvent the wheel! Believe me, it's a waste of time and energy! Find a niche market that is successful but lacking great service and go dominate that niche.

Lead gen (lead generation) is about finding ideal clients who love your products and services and appreciate the value that you are bringing to the marketplace. But it's also about self denial of what you think they want. It's not about you. So you must stop thinking about what's important to you. You have to listen to what's important to your client.

Research is important for getting more clients because you learn what people are already asking for and then in a very useful, unique and ultra-specific way, give it to them!

Finding your ideal client makes it a lot easier to sell anything. It eliminates the belief that anyone with a heartbeat is a client and it will demand you get very focused in everything you do.

Here are some of the tools we use to grow our business and find our ideal clients-

Amazon- search for the best-selling books and most influential authors in your niche market. Pay close attention to the comment reviews, feedback, video reviews and what people are saying about the books in your niche. The majority of the time, there's always a book in a niche market. If you can't find anything at first, keep the search broad and then go narrower.

Google- type in your major keywords and see who dominates that niche market. What are they saying to their clients? What do their clients have to say back? Become a 'listener' of this relationship and pay close attention to comments on blogs, tweets, and facebook pages. This is the easiest thing to do. The information is right there for the world to see. The problem is, most people aren't paying attention.

Yahoo Answers- search for the questions that have already been answered. You want to look for the questions related to your niche that has come up over and over again. I'm talking about maybe 5-10 questions on the same topic. You can also do this in discussion forums.

Social Media- find the top business experts in your niche market and follow them. Sit back and observe how they're interacting with clients, what clients are saying and pay attention to the 'keywords' that are often used. Every niche has slogans and mantras. Find out what they are and use it.

A lack of customers or clients can hold small business owners back.

You're in business to make a profit and that is impossible if you don't have clients. Not having enough clients or customers will make you broke and sometimes desperate. Desperate people take desperate measures. First, you start to second guess your product or service, then before you know it, you're tweaking this and tweaking that so many times you'll forget what you're selling!

The bottom line is to get more clients, build your list, and market!

My friends, it takes motivation and determination. You can do it! It doesn't happen overnight but step by step, you too can see achieve the success you've always dreamed about!
