The Art of Self Healing - How Do We Achieve It?

The art of self healing is innate in all of us, it is just that in the stress of modern living, we have forgotten our birthright.

The aim of any relaxation or meditation technique is to re-awaken the deep subconscious part of ourselves so this deep and strong part of ourselves can begin the process of our own self healing.

It is never too late to start. Even if the physical illness is not curable, the deep subconscious causes can be tackled.

In many cases the overcoming of them can bring an inner peace which may help us to accept ourselves just as we are.

It may bring an acceptance of our illness which in normal circumstances would not be possible.

Certainly as we journey to the deepest part of ourself we can build an inner awareness and strength which can be a great comfort to ourself and those close to us.

How Do We Start?

First of all, it is essential that we regain contact with our Inner Self. This deeper part of us IS there, but we have lost contact. As a result, we are missing out on the strength and comfort which otherwise is ours for the asking.

We have to realise that this is not a quick and easy journey. It is sometimes both long and difficult. Before we even make a start, we have to put a big question mark beside all our fondest beliefs in life and living.

But, put it this way, if we are fed up with our lives, and our health is poor, or our circumstances difficult; it must be obvious that these beliefs and customs are not doing us much good, anyway!

So we must throw our minds open, and be prepared to consider all the ideas and concepts which come our way in our inner quest. We must keep an open mind.

We must be prepared to concede that these often hidden and obscure concepts could be viable. In the long run, it will be our own personal experience that will either confirm or deny their viability for us.

We will soon realise that "Absolute Truth" is something that is not within the reach of the human mind.

The best that any one of us can do, is to come up with our own, individual, interpretation of that almost unknowable Absolute Truth.

The only way we can really confirm the existence of our Higher Self is by feeling for ourselves the power and majesty which DOES exist in the deeper, inner realms of ourself.

The amount of benefit we receive from any relaxation or meditation technique will be directly proportional to the amount of determination and effort we put into it.

As we learn to relax and tune in to the stronger, inner levels of ourself, so it will come to pass that we will begin to feel this inner strength, and inner peace, we have longed for - for so long.
