Organize for Life

July 21, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 156

Living an organized life for some might seem like an unbearable task. But to organize your life is really not hard or challenging if you take it one step at a time. One of the biggest steps is to recognize the things that are interrupting the flow of each day. Now, I am not talking about things that you trip on when you are heading to the kitchen or the stack of dishes in the sink getting in the way of making breakfast. I am talking about the things that we do in life that have no meaning, the things in life that are unnecessary. These are the things that we need to "Purge out" in order to live a little more free. When we purge out those things we can then open up time to do what we want more freely.

So what am I talking about here? Well when I began to organize my life I started to make a list of things that I did that really soaked up my time. This list was not created in one sitting but I just made notes along the way. I observed myself for a week and wrote down how I spent my time. This is a funny thing to do because you can really get a good idea on how you are living. I found all sorts of things that were just wasting my time.

So in order to clean your life you must observe yourself and your patterns.

After I did that I was able to see a few things that I could adjust in my day to day life. The first thing I saw was watching television. This was a major killer of time. I could easily soak up a whole day just staring at the boob tube watching garbage. And in between the shows I was allowing myself to become brain washed with the commercials trying to sell me something or take the latest drug that would contradict my body's natural way of functioning. So I decided to just pick that one thing and purge it out of my life. I got rid of my television so I could not watch it any longer. A whole new world opened up for me.

Just that one action began a chain reaction.

I then began to go down my list and take one action at a time to organize my life. I began to analyze my diet, my relationships, my health, my profession, and even my words. I did not see this as a burden because I was organizing my life a little bit at a time. If I would have tried to do it all at once I would have easily gave up and went back to my old bad habits. But by organizing one thing at a time I was able to gain momentum and organize my life. This opened up more room to be me and to find more constructive things to do with my time. It opened up time for me to become more conscious of life and all the wonderful things with in it.

So really I did not organize my life, I was able to organize for life.

Please take some time to observe yourself and how you can organize your life, just make sure to take it one step at a time and not get to critical.

Good luck!
