Tender Writers - What It Takes

December 15, 2011 | Comments: 0 | Views: 106

Don't give up

Ever had writer's block? There are lots of opinions about what causes writer's block and sometimes it does happen to the best of us but I am of the opinion that working hard will get you through it. Good preparation is also useful in getting past writer's block. Tender writers can suffer from this problem every so often but it's always advisable never to panic if it happens to you. Whether you take a rest or work through it, it will pass and you will come out writing again on the other side.

Keep ploughing through

Tender writers are good at planning, preparation, research and writing winning tender documents. They do it for clients with companies and organisations. I've met quite a few tender writers in my time, they had and still have a very professional approach to their work. It isn't an easy profession because it requires lots of dedication to the tasks at hand, getting anything wrong can mean failure. I haven't known any tender writer who has managed to write excellent, winning tender documents within applying themselves to the fullest extent of their abilities. The best advice that I can give budding novice tender writers is to stick at it. Times may get tough every so often but, if you apply yourself and give it your all, you will make it. Just do a good job and your clients will be very happy. Go for it! Write excellent, compelling tender documents that the tender document readers will love and you will get there. Slowly but surely. The goal is in your sight! Just do it! Keep ploughing through!

Make your bid count

Making your bid count is difficult. You will have stiff competition for the most difficult tenders. It won't be easy. You will find roadblocks along the way, metaphorically speaking. You must wait sometimes, be patient, then proceed. Research and preparation is key to a well formulated and expertly written tender document. All good tender writers know that the best tender documents are written after a long period of preparation, planning and organisation. After everything is considered you can start to write. But only after you have decided precisely what you are going to write. That is not to say that the final document won't have been based upon the notes that you took whilst researching. But don't actually start writing the first draft until you've prepared the document by carrying out comprehensive research.
