In today's society, the family core is constantly being threatened. It has become popular to hold off on getting married, and it's now trendy or glamorous to be single and able to "mingle". However, it's the family that provides the most happiness to any individual. When times get hard, the family, not your friends, are the ones that will love and support you unconditionally. Dependent on the conditions of the surf, a parent can teach patience, respect, and perseverance to a child as they are surfing. One must be patient in order to catch the right wave. He must be in the right position, and must also respect the ocean and its force. In tough conditions, he must demonstrate perseverance to not only maintain position, but also to be able to catch the wave.
