Becoming A Success - Lessons We Can Learn From Rob Dydrek

April 10, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 146

Rob Dydrek is a skateboarder. Well he started out as a skateboarder but now he is a multimillionaire mogul. This story may only resonate in America from a career perspective, but the elements of loving what you do and using your imagination are universal.

Rob began skateboarding at the age of twelve and turned pro at sixteen. I remember skateboarding when I was a kid on the streets of Brooklyn, but I was told to grow up. I think I have. The thing is if I could have conceived the possibility of making a living out of professional skateboarding, I would have put more effort into it, I certainly enjoyed it. The truth is, If you are clever enough, a lot of hobbies and things that you might enjoy for fun can be successfully turned into money makers, if not careers. This is a lesson that can be learned from Rob and many other clever entrepreneurs of today.

Rob is described as "one of the most cunning and savvy young entrepreneurs in any field." Rob took his passion for skating and parlayed that into a multimillion dollar fortune by lining up a formidable array of corporate giants to sponsor him. He successfully designed and marketed his own trademark shoe, and pooled his resources with DC Shoes and designed some skateboard parks, one of which is in his hometown of Kettering, Ohio. The world may now know Rob from his T.V shows, Rob and Big, or Fantasy Factory. All of this and more from exceptionally well skateboard riding. This is someone who was determined to really live his passion.

As an entrepreneur it is important to focus like a laser beam on one thing, and then once that thing is accomplished, you may throw your hat into the arena of other endeavors. The main thing is to focus your passion. Have fun but be industrious. If you have a knack for video games, why not try to create one yourself? Get your idea out there and have someone else develop or design it for you. Keep your day job, but cultivate your passion on the side.

Rob Dydrek discovered and pursued his passion at an early age, but it is never too late. In the world that we live in now, you may have a large audience for whatever your passion may be with the help of the world wide web. For the unemployed, this may spark your entrepreneurial spirit. Rob used his passion, determination and imagination focus and courage to live the life that he wants. You should too.
