A Technical Bottoming the Last Day of May 2012 - Is a US Stock Market Summer Rally Possible?

May 30, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 168

Well, I guess the old adage "sell in May and go away" would have been the right play - at least in 2012 - or better yet, sell Mid May and take a two-week vacation and buy back in June 1, 2012 for a potentially strong Summer Rally after the correction. Okay so, let's stop the gibberish and bearish news in the global financial media for a second and talk purely technical shall we?

Although everyone is singing doom and gloom over Europe, remember the US is still in an election year, with low-inflation, low-interest rates, and ready to harness the flow from the EU as the flight to safety hits the US like a Tsunami from the Atlantic. Where is all that money from across the pond going to go - where else, here, where it is safe, and there is a lot of upside to all this.

And speaking of bearish talk Robert Rubin gave a quick talk and interview to CFR or the Council on Foreign Relations about the multi-framed slow motion digital currency Euro train wreck the other day. You know what, he's right first of all, but also realize the best time to invest is when everyone else is busy panic selling, and right now this much expected and anticipated market correction is running out of steam. Thus, if we look at the technical we see a 10% rally in the future, which yes, has implications far and wide, including our own 2012 elections.

It also means that after the potential summer rally, we could get a slight backslide, especially if the poles look as if Obama is looking good enough in the poles to get re-instated even after his Administration's poor handling of our economy here at home. Okay so, enough politics, because quite frankly we all get the same mass viral emails, and we are all tired of it.

What I am saying is; now might be a good time to take some of that cash on the sideline and put it to work at least for a couple of months. If we've hit the bottom on this latest dip and market correction, there is a lot of upside, no not FaceBook, but if you look around there are some great choices out there, and some excellent funds to consider if you want to play it safe or track this upswing potential.

Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it. No, I am not a financial investment guru, do your own homework before taking my advice - I just point out what I see in the trends and technicals.
