Amazing Scuba Diving Locations You'll Love

May 03, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 149

If you're a world traveler who enjoys circling the globe in search for your next greatest adventure, consider traveling to amazing locations instead. The ocean has many secret treasures, and most of them are covered by beautiful blue water accessible only to scuba divers. Whether you're a beginner diver or an old pro, here are some of the best scuba diving locations that you can't afford to miss in your lifetime.

Sipadan Island, Malaysia

While some of the best scuba diving locations in the world have yet to be discovered, one of the most beautiful ones found is at the Sipadan Island. With one of the richest marine habitats in the world, this diving location is home to beautiful hawksbill turtles, manta rays, whale sharks, and many more. One of the must-see scuba sites in Sipadan Island is the turtle graveyard where lost turtles die when they can't escape the caves. This has been the subject of the film "Borneo: The Ghost of the Sea Turtle."

Phuket, Thailand

Another one of the best scuba diving sites in the world is located in stunning Phuket. The underwater wonders of the Anemone Reef (Hin Jom) and the wreck of the King Cruiser ferry boat are sights to behold. Because the reef and wreck provides shelter and food for the tons of marine wildlife in this location, it is almost impossible not to catch a glimpse of clown fish, leopard sharks, and barracudas.

Tofo, Africa

Africa, an exotic getaway, is a dream destination for tourists. While many picture this as place where elephants, lions, and giraffes roam, many forget that it is one of the top scuba diving locations in the world. If you want to swim with whale sharks, humpback whales, and harlequin shrimps, this is the scuba diving trip that you need to make.

Blue Hole, Belize

Want your next scuba diving location to be an underwater sinkhole that was previously a limestone cave during the last Ice Age? While it does not have the amount of aquatic wildlife compared to other diving locations, the thrill of diving into something that was once above sea level is nothing short of amazing. Long underwater stalactites that seem to stretch on and on are things that need to be on everyone's bucket list.

Choosing among the best of the best scuba diving locations can be tough. Not everyone can afford to splurge on exotic locales. When you have the money, however, make sure to take advantage. Life is short. Make sure you see most of our underwater world at various scuba diving locations while they're still unspoiled and beautiful.
