A Guide To Understanding The Uses and Benefits of Fibre IRS

May 08, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 158

In this modern age, the technology of fibre optics has become widely used. It is now being used in the technology used for communal aerials. This technology is referred to as fibre IRS or to be more precise, fibre optic integrated reception systems. To simply put it, the fibre IRS is just another version of the IRS system that uses fibre optic instead of copper cables.

The material used for the main cables of the fibre IRS is now fibre optic which means that it is able to transmit huge amounts of data compared to the IRS systems with copper cables. There is a huge difference on the capability of a IRS compared to the IRS run by copper cables. The IRS is able to transmit satellite and aerial signals with the least amount of loss and signal degradation. It can even be said that fibre IRS experience zero signal loss. This can only mean that compared to the other IRS system, the fibre IRS is able to send a crisp and clear reception to your television display.

Fibre IRS also uses cables that are a lot smaller since it uses fibre optics. A copper IRS will use a durable yet bulkier 5-core cable for each main splitter. The IRS will only use a single cable. This means that the fibre IRS has a cleaner installation because it uses fewer cables and the cable used is also a lot smaller than that of the copper IRS cables.

Another advantage of fibre IRS is that it can be used in large areas with almost zero loss or no loss at all. This can be very useful for large residential developments that use only one master satellite and aerial. This is very beneficial because there is no longer any need to install an aerial for all of the homes within that large residential development. The signal will still be very strong and clear even if several houses are sharing the signal from just one main aerial.

The residents will also have more channels to choose from and they can even choose the specific subscription that they want. They do not have to be satisfied with the subscription that the developer or owner has chosen. With IRS every resident in the residential development can choose the subscription that best suits their taste. They can even add channels that are in 3D or high definition. They no longer have to settle for less because they can choose whatever channels they want to watch on their television.

Are you looking for TV antenna installations? Communal aerial are happy to help you through IRS systems, whether that is for smaller blocks or for much larger blocks, to housing associations and managing agents.
