Those who are thinking of visiting Chicago should definitely put the Gold Coast district on their itinerary. This historical district is home to many of the most affluent people in the US and also offers a diverse selection of entertainment that attracts all sorts of tourists and locals. Shopping, museums, and lively entertainment are some of its attractions. Unique dining experiences are also offered by many of the Gold Coast restaurants. Despite extreme weather, you'll find these Gold Coast restaurants full of people and lively energy. Some of these Gold Coast restaurants include Tavern on the Rush, Johnny Rockets, Carmine's, Gibson's, and the Cheesecake Factory. And one of the finest of the Gold Coast restaurants is P.J. Clarke's. This Chicago restaurant has been serving the public for at least 25 years and is well-known because of their food, service, and atmosphere. People from all around the globe as well as locals enjoy coming to this Chicago restaurant because of its tasty menu which include Chicken Pot Pie, Mini Burgers, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Italian Sausage sandwich, Homemade chili, and Meatloaf. Each serving is enough to satisfy anyone many times over and all their items are easily affordable. Many of these features can also be found in other Gold Coast restaurants but there are still some aspects of P.J. Clarke's that make it unique and the finest Chicago restaurant.

A contemporary atmosphere with stylish décor and bright colors are often what you'll find in many of the Gold Coast restaurants. But P.J. Clarke's isn't like any of the Gold Coast restaurants. With this Chicago restaurant, one can soak up a bit of history from the combination of old photographs, brass, and oak that decorate the place. Aside from the cozy ambiance offered by P.J. Clarke's, they also have music that will take you back to yesteryear. To add to all of these, the staff in this Chicago restaurant is quite friendly and will make you feel at home. A private dining room is another feature that makes P.J. Clarke's unique. The private party room is quite flexible and relaxing, enabling you to host any type of celebration that your heart desires. The room boasts of an antique bar, direct satellite TV, and music that can be enjoyed throughout the party. You are able to customize the food and drinks in accordance to the type of party that you want to have. People who are looking for a place to hold a business meeting, a cocktail party, or even a birthday party extravaganza can choose to hold it in the Clover room. A view to the beautiful lights of the city can be enjoyed on the balcony. P.J. Clarke's is not only a restaurant but a Chicago bar as well. A lot of Chicago bars in the district are able to provide delicious drinks in a lively atmosphere but only P.J. Clarke's offers you an atmosphere much like the one you'll find in the TV show "Cheers". This Chicago bar is famous for the staff it employs. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and smiling and the bartenders, unlike those in other Chicago bars, are quick, welcoming, and extremely competent in serving you the drink of your choice. High quality service is not the only thing you'll enjoy in this Chicago bar. The wide selection of local and imported alcohol that are all fairly priced makes this a watering hole that many enjoy to visit. The décor in this Chicago bar also lends to the "Cheers"-like atmosphere. Many Chicago bars have a more modern style while P.J. Clarke's aims to turn back the hands of time. You'll hear Frank Sinatra and other famous singers from the 1960's crooning their tunes in the background while you enjoy the carved oak and brass railings decorating the restaurant. With an atmosphere such as this, you will undoubtedly end up feeling nostalgic and right at home. Locals and tourists flock to P.J. Clarke's for this very reason as well as to enjoy a bit of entertainment. Everyone who stops by this Chicago bar is sure to have a great time. People who've visited Chicago numerous times no longer find the need to sample other Chicago bars when they can just go straight to P.J. Clarke's for some alcohol and fun.

The Gold Coast district is definitely an area packed with Chicago bars and Gold Coast restaurants. But even with the wide variety of choices, many tourists and locals still choose to go to P.J.
