Friends Forever!

April 13, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 146

"Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another."

John 15:13-17

Can you see the awesome work God worked in you and for you? You are appointed so that you can't be disappointed in the course of bearing fruit. You were once a servant but now are upgraded and called a friend. You have a readymade friend. You were chosen and through Him you will find the rest of your friends for He also will choose and show you the way to reach them and bring them into the glorious and greatest company of the wise. This is the company of God, the glorious company as recorded in Hebrews 12:22-24. A son of God must desire and choose to walk (keep) in this company. Enoch did (Genesis 5:22-24) for 300 years and he never lost out! Abraham was called God's friend forever.

You too can become (Jn.15:14) and maintain (vs.15) friendship with Jesus forever. The Holy Spirit has been given as another helper - your aide-de-camp. He is to abide with you forever. Who else can be a closer and better guide, counselor and teacher?

Where is your heart today? Where is your affection? Set them on this company from above. It is the company that will never fail but make you. Tell me about your friend, who you know and who you walk with I will tell you whom you are serving. If you are accepting, obeying and holding on to any word or counsel aside from appropriating the wisdom (word) of God, certainly you are not serving God and it will certainly lead you to failure, condemnation and eternal damnation. A friend loves and must make himself friendly at all times. Look at those fishermen of Mark 1:16-20. As Simon heard, he forsook all and by wholly following and walking with the Lord he became not only a known and successful fisherman, but "blessed" and became Apostle Peter.

So God expects you to seek Him with confidence and to maintain a continued walk to bring others to Him saying, "He who wins souls is wise." You can, for you have been called into the status and position of an Ambassador. If you continue in God's word you will be appointed as a minister and a friend of this truth to all mankind.

Personal Confession: I am appointed a companion of all who fear you. My heart is fixed to the glorious company of the wise in heaven and on earth. I choose to walk in your precepts, to remain your friend and to refrain from the company of fools. Keep me Lord as a minister of truth to mankind.

Pray with Psalm 72:16 - There will be an abundance of grain on top of the mountains; with fruits and we shall flourish in the land!
