Quick and Easy Veg Cheese Wrap

The greatest fear of all the mothers in this world is that their children do not like eating vegetables. They are right. Because if the nutrition is not taken care of in childhood then this negligence towards food may lead to serious health problems. But the point to ponder is that the children do not run away from the vegetables. Actually, they run away from the look and the taste of vegetables. Children find the veg. dishes so boring that they do not feel like eating them at all. And the result is that they keep on craving for the burgers, fries and candies etc. But do you know how harmful such junk foods are for the health?

These are full of fats and sodium content is also very high in such food items. If the look and presentation of the vegetables cooked at home is changed then children will love to eat home-made food. The recipe below makes a veg wrap from the vegetables and cheese. The wrap presents the vegetables in a fresh and new look. This is home made so no extra fats and sodium intake. Children will love to eat this at home and mothers can send this wrap in their school tiffin also. It is healthy as well as delicious also. Try this out today!

Prep. Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: about 20 mins

Ingredients:

1. 100 gm. carrot, grated

2. 100 gm. cabbage, grated

3. 50 gm. onion, finely chopped

4. 50 gm. colored bell peppers, chopped

5. 1 cup sun dried tomatoes

6. 2 tbsp. olive oil

7. Salt to taste

8. 1 tbsp. red chilli powder

9. 3 tbsp. mozzarella cheese, grated

10. 100 gm. paneer (cottage cheese), crumbled

11. Tortillas (of any size)

12. Chopped coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Take a deep frying pan and put olive oil in it.
  2. Heat the oil and add onions in the oil. Stir for a few seconds and then add grated cabbage, carrot and bell peppers to it. Cook for 2 mins.
  3. Then add salt and chilli powder. Stir for a few seconds and then add paneer and cheese. Need not to overcook. Keep the veggies a bit crispy.
  4. Get the mixture off the flame. Add coriander leaves to the mixture.
  5. Wrap/fold this mixture in tortillas and serve.

This recipe is a great way to make children eat veggies. this wrap makes a great quick and healthy snack too. So, enjoy this healthy, crispy and delicious wrap with your children.
