Delicious Gluten Free Bread Recipe for Bread Machine

May 23, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 199

Simple bread machine recipes are a must-have for all bread-lovers. Bread machines take the hassle out of hand-kneading the dough and wondering whether you got it right or not! They come with step-by-step instructions and they are very easy to maintain, saving a lot of time and energy in the kitchen. I also find that bread machine bread has a better and finer texture than hand-kneaded bread. Given below is a simple rye bread recipe for a bread machine that everyone in my family loves- and hopefully you will too!

What you will need:

- Water - 1 cup + 3 tablespoons

- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

- Vinegar - 2 tablespoons

- Ground flaxseed powder - 2 tablespoons

- Basil - 1 1/2 tablespoons

- Oat flour - 1/2 cup

- Spelt flour - 1 1/2 cups

- Rye flour - 2 cups

- Vital wheat gluten - 2 tablespoons

- Active dry yeast - 2 tablespoons

- Salt - 1 teaspoon

Method:

- Rather than using store-bought oat flour, I like to make fresh oat flour. You can make some at home by grinding rolled oats in a mixer.

- Clean the bread pan and the kneading blade. Make sure that the pan is dry before you start adding the ingredients.

- Pour the water in the pan.

- Add the vinegar and olive oil.

- Sprinkle the flaxseed powder and basil on top.

- Gently add the flours over the liquids in such a way that they cover the liquids.

- The last and most important step for making bread in the bread machine is adding the yeast. The yeast has to be carefully added so that it does not come in contact with the liquids.

- Add the salt.

- Place the lid on the bread pan.

- Set the bread machine to run on the basic cycle.

- Once the cycle is done, let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes.

- Remove the bread from the pan and cut in slices to serve.

- If you feel that the bread is too soft then you can bake it in the oven for 10 minutes at 350F for a crusty loaf.

Creamy Swiss Cheese Spread with the bread makes an interesting dip.

What you will need:

- Cream cheese - 300 grams - Milk - 2 tablespoons - Finely shredded Swiss cheese - 1/2 cup - Chopped fresh chives - 1 tablespoon

Method:

- Blend the cream cheese and milk until smooth. - Stir in the cheese and chopped fresh chives.

You can store this mix in the refrigerator for a few days.

The bread can be eaten as it is, but if you toast it and spread a layer of marmalade or jam over it before eating, you will enjoy it even more!
