4 Barriers Stopping You From Building A Sales Funnel Today And How To Overcome Them

Q. In your opinion, what keeps so many business owners from ever building a sales funnel after spending so much money on expensive courses?

A: That's a really great question.

A recent broadcast that I sent out to my subscribers and clients was for them to send me their most important questions about building a sales funnel. That's how this question came my way and it's a very common reason for many online businesses to fail before they even start online.

4 barriers

As I have thought about the answer, I've come up with 4 barriers prospective online business owners run into when building a sales funnel.

Barrier 1 - Technically Challenged- Some people get caught up in the technical details and never go ahead with their business. Find a designer who has already created a marketing funnel and who can show you their work. if you have an example of a sales funnel created by another marketer that you want to base yours on send the link of the site to the designer.

Barrier 2 - No Investment Injection- The first cost of setting up a marketing funnel may be expensive especially if you have just paid for an expensive course. Calculate how many clients you need to buy products from you first before building a sales funnel and work out exact figures.When you know how many clients you require add in the cost of advertising and work out your return on investment. A one page website known as a capture page is a great way to test out your entry point of your marketing funnel before building the entire back end of the funnel.

Barrier 3 - Who Do I Trust - Some people get caught in the outsourcing trap and never see their work completed and returned on time. This causes frustration and many times business owners will stop building a sales funnel at this point due to loss of time and investment. Hire a sales funnel design specialist who can work with you on marketing strategy also as this will be invaluable.

Barrier 4 - Self Doubt - You have 90% of your products completed and just when you are about to launch you doubt yourself and your products never make it online. Most online businesses start and then they refine each version or release. When you release your first product call it version 0.1 and then refine it and improve it in the next version. When you keep refining your content and products the features improve immensely.

Bonus - Low Priorities - When you fill your day with low priorities you are spending time on tasks that will not improve your business. If doing technical tasks is not high on your value list then you should delegate this work to someone who has this high on their value list and concentrate on what you do like doing.

Sometimes fear will stop you from doing what you know is most important. When you step outside of that comfort zone great things will start to happen. Sail over these four barriers and you will be building a sales funnel in no time
