Single Mothers - 7 Ways of Raising a Child Without Their Father

January 22, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 161

A common phrase among many prospective mothers or brides is that, they would not want to be left holding the baby. It is also a well-known fact that there are more single mothers in the world than there are single fathers. This makes this a perfectly legitimate sentiment given that a child is hard enough to raise financially but it is the emotional strain that takes a huge toll on any parent. If two parents find it hard enough, what are the chances that a single mother would be up to the task? Furthermore, the financial obligations on any single mother can be very daunting. Single mothers can learn to raise their children and assume both roles without feeling under confident or overwhelmed in these useful ways;

Doing what you love - life is hard enough as it is. Finding out what a person loves to keep themselves busy doing and getting to perform it as a job would make life much more enjoyable and exciting. In addition to this, doing something that a person loves makes achieving goals much simpler and faster.

Turning hobbies into income earners - most hobbies can be turned into income earning opportunities. This is because, hobbies help to showcase unique talent that can be appreciated by many others not similarly endowed.

Getting multiple streams of income - as much as most people love to be considered as workaholics, true joy comes from spending time with those who are near and dear.There are many online and offline income opportunities that are designed to generate good amounts of passive residual income.

Becoming readers - nothing can be more fulfilling or encouraging than the words of a good book. In the many days and nights when loneliness can threaten, the rejuvenating effects of a great book can work wonders for the restless and inquisitive mind.

Befriending the kids - spending time learning the kids and the little things that make a difference in their lives, can greatly add to the quality of life that a person lives. Furthermore, kids are refreshingly different in terms of perspective and giving their parents the added strength to go through the hard times ahead.

Facing adversity head-on - many people tend to run away from problems and hope that they will go away. They also tend to see problems bigger than they really are. The best method of combating fear is to face the problem head-on and solve it as much as possible. Worrying about known or unknown situations will only create additional health problems.

Helping others - many single mothers are tempted to live in their own cocoon because they see their situation as unique and dire. This may be far from the truth because there is always someone who is worse off than you. Assisting others in times of hardship makes life bearable, satisfying and wholesome.
