Don't Stop Dreaming

April 13, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 208

In any phase of life, it is important to dream about your future. Dreams create hope, and hope motivates you to accomplishment. Being single can sometimes feel like it affords you all you need to see your dreams become reality, and sometimes it feels like it is an enemy standing between you and seeing your dreams fulfilled. It is important to keep a clear and specific definition of your dreams before you. Discouragements, anger, doubt, and resentment are all enemies to clear vision. Choose your associations wisely. Pay close attention to what you are allowing to feed your thoughts and mind. If you listen to people who constantly tell you their negative, hopeless viewpoints, it could possibly discourage and keep you from taking the next step to fulfilling your own dreams. Surround yourself with teaching and people who will partner and pray with you to see your dreams become reality.

Pursue your dreams; otherwise, they will pursue you as nightmares of regret.

Psalm 33:11(NAS)

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.

1. How does being single afford you opportunity to pursue and accomplish your dreams?

2. How does being single present obstacles that make it more challenging to realize your dreams?

3. Have you ever defined and written down plainly your dreams?

Habakkuk 2:2

Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.

In my opinion, anything worth dreaming about is worth documenting. Any worthwhile pursuit or investment is deserving of the time it takes to define it plainly and document it. A train can only run fast on tracks that have been laid down deliberately and thoughtfully beforehand; otherwise, disaster would occur. Success in any venue comes from a deliberate and planned, diligent effort. Great things are not often, if ever, the result of an accident.

Whenever there is uncertainty or blurred vision, it hinders forward progress. You will never be able to defeat an enemy you can't, or refuse to define. It's impossible to defeat an invisible enemy. Wars have been lost and unwinnable because of the inability to determine who or what is the true enemy.

4. How would you go about defining and clarifying your vision?

5. How do you go about documenting the definition and vision of your dream?

I have asked the preceding five questions for a reason. Whenever you ask, and take time to find or think about answers to questions; your information base will expand, and when knowledge increases with understanding applied, you will become a stronger person. Don't stop Dreaming, your best memories are yet to be made!
