Kick Ass Low Carb Diet Plan Will Help You Reach Your Goals

There are so many different types of diet plans today that it's difficult to know which one to use. Each diet plan has advantages and disadvantages and it would be best if you discussed them with your doctor before making any big changes to your eating habits. One diet, the low carb diet, has been around for quite a few years and has helped many people lose a lot of weight.

The low carb diet is an eating plan where you limit the amount of carbs you eat daily. How many carbs per day on the low carb diet you eat depends on how much weight you need to lose. However, many people try to limit themselves to 20-50 grams of carbohydrates daily. The diet also emphasizes eating protein and one of the most popular diet plan even advises you not to worry about the amount of fat you are consuming when eating the protein. However, there are also many healthy choices you can make. Good proteins include chicken breasts, fish and egg whites.

The most common low carb diet side effects include constipation and headaches, which can easily be explained because of the lack of fruits, most vegetables and grains in the diet. Fruits, vegetables and grains are all important in the digestion process and help to keep us regular. Additional complaints from people on the low carb diet include bad breath, muscle cramps and general weakness. You should consult your doctor before starting a life changing diet.

There is also a diet variation, known as the low carb vegetarian diet. With this plan, people get their daily nutrients from eating mainly fruits and vegetables, including dark green and green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, cucumbers, peppers and spinach. It is well known that fruits and vegetables offer important vitamins and minerals that are needed by the body. Special care must be taken by the dieter to include other sources of protein, which the body also needs. Additional sources of protein can be found in non-animal products like nuts and soy products.

The low carb diet is good for rapid weight loss but nobody should be on that diet for extended period of time. The best results are usually seen in people that use the low carb diet to lose weight quickly and then follow up with significant dietary changes with a balance of good carbs, good proteins, fruits and an exercise plan.
