Webinar and Podcasting - 7 Benefits When You Listen To The Replay

February 08, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 164

Do you find yourself registering for live webinars, teleseminars or podcasts and taking notes while trying to listen to the presenter at the same time?

I don't know about you, but I find it hard to focus on the presenter's valuable nuggets when I am trying to take notes. At the end of the presentation I feel like I have missed out on both counts.

All of a sudden, your note taking isn't as fast as the presenter's presentation, leaving you frustrated that you missed an important piece of the conversation that you didn't get in your notes? Many of us don't have time to listen to both the live recording and the replay of that recording so what do we do?.

Well, here's a solution: I have put together some benefits of listening to the recorded version of the replay. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of benefits to listening to the live presentation but time is so important for busy entrepreneurs and sometimes we are looking for ways to save valuable time. These solutions offer some suggestions to help YOU save time in your business.

First of all, and most importantly, it does save A LOT of time! - If you don't have time to listen to the live presentation and then the recorded one, imagine all you can get done with the recorded version...

  1. You can pause the recording to take notes and make sure they are the way you want them to read. When you are done with your note taking, you can resume the recording where you left off without missing a word of it.
  2. You can type the notes on your computer in a site like Open Office or a Word document so you can save them in your documents or on a USB Flash Drive or wherever you store your documents.
  3. From your typed notes, you can then repurpose them and put them in your own words to share in a blog post or an article by copying and pasting instead of rewriting another article or blog post. When you do this, you can offer a review in your own words and provide them to your clients/customers.
  4. You can record your notes in a podcast or Cinch and let your voice be heard. After the recording, you can include that in your blog post so that you now have both your own recording and written version of your review.
  5. You can take short versions of your notes and post them to Twitter and on your Facebook business page, and continue to do that for 3 - 5 consecutive days.
  6. After you take smaller pieces of the notes, you can then turn it into a report.
  7. Remember to use your own words and to mention the name of the presenter when you share the notes as a review.

There are so many ways to get the benefits of a replay of a webinar, teleseminar or podcast. I love offering solutions to help you utilize your time more wisely as you lessen your overwhelm and hopefully, you will see some benefits in these solutions.
