Demystifying P90X Workouts: Muscle Confusion Explained

P90X is different from ordinary ways to burn fat and build muscles. It uses simple fitness tools and maximizes the power and flexibility of the human body.

P90X doesn't require a gym or weight machines, you can get started with the simple resistance bands that come with the system and of course, your body. P90X asks you to invest an hour a day 6 days a week for 90 days and it promises you a transformed beach-perfect body at the end of it.

P90X works so well because it is a fully integrated program incorporating nutrition and a well planned exercise system. These two work together and the sum of the two is greater than their parts. Having the right diet is 80% of the battle.

The right nutrition will help you get the chiseled abs that you want. When you give your body the right nutrition it will aid in carving those muscles out. The workouts are important to, they provide the intensity that you need to get the job done.

You will not only build muscle with this program, you will also increase your stamina and endurance. All of this is important as you go through P90X and hit all of your fitness goals in the 90 days.

If you follow the exercise and nutrition program and keep to the exercises and diet you are going to see great results and will probably be through with junk food and being inactive forever.

Muscle Confusion

Tony Horton, who will be your personal trainer during the program, is the creator of P90X. Tony has come up with what he calls Muscle Confusion. This is a physiological state where your body cannot fully adapt to the exercises. This means that you will never plateau, your workouts and diet will always be effective.

Muscle Confusion works by avoiding the situation when your body fully adapts to the exercises, when you reach this point weight loss begins to slow and will eventually stop completely. Plateaus ca last for months if nothing changes. With P90X, plateaus are impossible because you are always beginning a new phase of the program. After you make it through the base program Tony Horton has extra routines on his website. These are presented in worksheets that make sense in the context of the complete program.

The worksheets are supplemental to the P90X system which was created and is presented by Tony Horton. It is a great investment and it already has many satisfied users who have gone through the system and gotten ripped in the 90 days. This is a massive change for many of them and something that no other fitness program offers.

If you continue to use they system you will keep getting stronger and more fit, you will keep increasing your stamina and endurance without ever hitting a plateau. Just keep moving forward and continue to challenge yourself with the progressive workouts.
