Val Kilmer Knows Something Good

April 23, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 225

Actor Val Kilmer knows something about the Christian Science religion and is spreading the word. Kilmer is currently promoting a one man show based on the lives of Mary Baker Eddy and Mark Twain. Val Kilmer plays Mark Twain in this adaptation that teaches those who want to learn all about exactly what is Christian Science. The reason Mr. Kilmer probably feels compelled to do this is because he was raised a Christian Scientist and probably has made some observations throughout his life that made a lot of sense.

When most people think of Christian Scientists as faith healing, there is a lot more to this religion. In fact, the principles can be applied to all religions in one way or another. But take a look at how some of the most famous people who have used positive thinking, that their lives indicate that they made positive choices, and see where they ended up.

One famous Christian Scientist is Eliot Ness. Yes, Eliot Ness of The Untouchables. Ness grew up in Roseland and attended the Sixth Christian Science right down the street from his home. He was raised a Christian Scientist and applied the principles to his law enforcement technique. Most people have no idea of what happened to Eliot Ness after he left Chicago. The truth of the matter is that he took over the city of Cleveland and turned it around from a cesspool to one that was voted Safest City In America in three years. He used Capone's tactics, but in a legal and positive manner to make his point and it worked. Eliot Ness is the subject of many books by Michelle Friel Regan who is currently working on her latest book about Ness that explores the area of Chicago known as Roseland and delves into the beliefs of Eliot Ness, Christian Scientist, and how he used his faith to right a wrong.

Those who want to understand this can take a look at some of the most successful people of all time and trace their paths. Even those who are not Christian Scientists and who have made an impact seem to follow along on the power of the positive. The Beatles, for example, are considered the biggest rock band of all times, the most successful. Even more than 40 years after the Beatles ended, they were still voted the number one rock and roll stars of all time by VH1. Those who understand the band will see how they really got their start and the power of the positive that emerged from two very good men gave force to a music band that has yet to be beat.

Val Kilmer knows something about Christian Science, which is much more than just faith healing. And he is doing his best to try to tell the world in a venue where he can be heard.
