The Letter Dalet of the Hebrew Alphabet

April 25, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 190

Dalet is the fourth letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. Now I'm going to put these together for you and in the end you're going to see this beautiful picture which you won't see with a few couple of letters of the Hebrew Alphabet but this becomes an unbelievable painting as we move through the letters.

So Dalet, it's an interesting letter because for what it means, it is not complete. So let's discover really what that means. Its Gematria is the 4th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet so it's connected to the number four and you the pictograph format of the letter Dalet is like a line with a box underneath it. The pictograph format of Dalet represents a gateway or a tent, okay? I know a line and a box underneath it does not look like a tent to us now but in their time that is the picture of their tent.

Now the second one is the Ktav Ivri, it is the next evolution of the letter Dalet which is kind of a triangle and now looks like kind of a tent. They call it a Sukkoth in Hebrew.

Now let's tackle the number four and its connection to the letter Dalet. Four denotes earth or creation. The number four also denotes stability. There are four letters in Yahweh's (YHVH) name there is nothing more stable than these four letters Yod, He, Vav, He.

Also, there are four letters of biblical interpretation. The first one is the P'shat which is the literal meaning of the scripture. The Remez is the allusion, when there's an allusion to something else that's called the Remez and it's a little deeper than the P'shat level. Drash is an Allegory and the last one is Sod which is the deepest meaning of the scripture that is out there, it's kind of the secret part of the scripture. You would have to truly dive into the scriptures to see and at the same time the Holy Spirit has to reveal to you that deeper meaning.

What's amazing about these four letters of biblical interpretation is that when you take the first letter of each one, you will form PRDS which means paradise. When you understand all four levels of the scripture and you don't spend your time in the literal area of scripture you will enter into paradise which is that perfect presence of the almighty that none of us will enter into until He comes.

We see through a glass very thinly and when He comes we will see the fullness and that is when we will enter into paradise. We will now understand every meaning of the scriptures.

I'm Jim Staley Mo. It is my heart's desire that you will be challenged and transformed through the materials and resources that are in this article. Whether it's about Jewish holidays, the Sabbath Day, or the meaning of Christmas, history of Easter, origin of Christmas, or any other Hebraic topics, we want you to know the truth because the truth will only do one thing!
