10 Countries With the Most Nursing Migration to Australia

Nursing is one of the major career option which offers a better lifestyle and pay package and we can see a lot of people taking nursing as a career since the last decade or so. There are a lot of countries which have been offering a great place for nurses to pursue their nursing careers and since majority of the developed and developing countries are facing scarcity of nursing professionals there has been a huge opportunity for nurses from different countries.

A lot of new nursing destinations are coming up every year and nurses tend to go to these new destinations due to the high quality life style and pay package available. One such country that has been a hot destination for nursing jobs recently is Australia. Australia is an amazing and beautiful country which has a good economy, living atmosphere, affordable life expenses and much more. A lot of nurses are seen migrating to Australia in the last few years and majority of them have been successful in setting up a stable nursing career in Australia.

Here I would like to list the top 10 countries from where nurses are migrating to Australia and I have collected this facts from various traffic analysis tools available online and the list would be taken in that order.

1) India India has a large pool of nursing talents as there are a large number of quality nursing colleges and institutes that produces the best nursing professionals every year. Since the nursing wages in India is very low when compared with other countries, the nurses in India always try for a job abroad and currently their major destination is Australia for various reasons.

2) Philippines Philippines also have a good number of nursing talent pool and the major advantage for the nurses in Philippines is that most of them have good English communication skills. Like India, Philippines also have the reputation of providing poor salary to their nurses and as a result they are forced to look for job in other countries and a large number of nurses in Philippines are migrating to Australia recently due to the quality work environment and lifestyle that is present in Australia.

3) Saudi Arabia A lot of nurses in Saudi Arabia are migrating to Australia due to vast career option and also due to the great pay package. The nurses in Saudi Arabia usually comprises of nurses from other parts of the world as Saudi Arabia does not produce a good number of nurses. The nurses from other countries who work in Saudi Arabia are generally fed up of the strict law and order that prevails in Saudi Arabia and for them Australia has become the hottest job location of late.

4) United Arab Emirates The nurses in United Arab Emirates (UAE) are also nurses who come to work from other parts of the world and due to the huge living expense and average salary; they always look for jobs in other parts of the world. Since Australia is preferred by the nurses for the last few years, a huge migration of nurses to Australia from UAE is underway.

5) United Kingdom United Kingdom was once a hot destination for nurses but the recent opportunities in Australia and the huge living expenses in UK has prompted a lot of nurses to migrate towards Australia. Since the nurses working in UK have strong English communication skills, they would not find it difficult to clear IELTs test which is a mandatory thing for nursing career in Australia.

6) Singapore Even though Singapore offers a good work environment for nurses from across the globe, the nurses working there has started showing a new trend of migrating to Australia since the last few years. Since the nurses in Singapore have the experience of working in world class healthcare environment, it would be an additional advantage for them. And ultimately the salary package would be the main thing, that are dragging the nurses in Singapore towards Australia.

7) United States United States have been an old hot destination for nurses, but in the last few years things have changed a lot. The opportunities have lost its depth and the living cost has also risen considerably. To make the matter worse, the financial situation in the US is not in a healthy situation and this sends waves of professional insecurity in the minds of healthcare professionals. As a result a lot of nurses are seen migrating to Australia to pursue their nursing career.

8) Ireland We have seen a lot of nurses migrating to Ireland few years back, but things have started looking gloomy since the last recession and the living cost is also very high in Ireland. Since most of the nurses in Ireland do not have the English language barrier, they can easy apply for a job in Australia where they can enjoy a better living condition. Hence we can see a rapid rise in the number of nurses in Ireland migrating to Australia.

9) Bahrain The majority of the nurses in Bahrain belong to other countries and the recent unrest in the Arab countries has seen a good number of migration efforts of nurses in Bahrain to Australia. A good number of nurses are working in Australia and due to various reasons they migrate to other countries and a considerable number of nurses are seen migrating to Australia for a better nursing career.

10) Kuwait Kuwait is yet another major Middle East destination for nurses and they also enjoy a much better pay package when compared with other countries in the Middle East. But as with other Middle East nations, the nurses in Kuwait also show a tendency to migrate to other nursing destinations, especially Australia. The only issue that they face is that majority of them are not proficient in English language and hence they need to undergo IELTS training course and clear the exam. Once they clear the IELTs exam, they would be dream of having nursing in Australia as a career.
