Stop Binge Drinking Using Hypnotherapy and NLP

April 15, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 138

Do you want to stop binge drinking? Perhaps you are finding that your health is suffering? Or perhaps your relationships are becoming affected because of excessive alcohol consumption. Have you found yourself with no memory of the night before, wondering what could have happened to you in that time? If so, it's time to seek help for binge drinking as soon as possible.

Binge drinkers are those who are not able to simply have a couple of drinks, feel merry and then stop. They don't know their limits and continue to drink to the point of vomiting or blacking out. Needless to say, excessive drinking in this way carries very serious health risks.

It can affect people from all walks of life. Most binge drinkers have lived with the habit for years but now have responsibilities such as family and work. Finding they escaped the repercussions from their binge drinking behaviours earlier in life, they now see their habits are negatively affecting life in adulthood, not to mention the detrimental effects on their health.

Some people actively choose to binge drink. Others however are carried along socially, perhaps wining and dining clients or enjoying after work drinks with colleagues. Some drink to become more confident in a social situation only to find they become swept away with other people's drink-focused enthusiasm. Before they know it, they're seriously out of control.

But what is the difference between someone who has a couple of drinks and goes home slightly merry compared with their colleague who stumbles out of the bar in a stupor, vomits in the taxi home and passes out on the front doorstep, only to awake in the morning with no memory of the night before?

The difference is this. The binge drinker will focus on excessive drinking either hoping they won't drink a lot or, knowing they'll get hammered. Either way, consuming a lot of alcohol is on their mind. The controlled drinker isn't focused on drinking at all.

Many who seek help for binge drinking have reached a point where they can no longer continue with this destructive and unhealthy habit. Thankfully, the techniques of hypnotherapy and NLP interrupt your old, unhelpful patterns of thinking and install new, positive, more useful patterns. This way it's easy to recondition your mind into more useful ways of thinking so that drinking to excess will be a thing of the past.
