The Secret to Long-Term Down-Line Growth

You have worked so hard to recruit new distributors into your business and yet your down-line is not growing nearly as fast as you had hoped. You thought for sure that if you brought enough people into the business things would just happen naturally, right? Not so fast. There are some very basic yet crucial things you need to focus on in order for your business to be self-propelled.

The first thing you need to do is identify what you are doing successfully. Start observing what you are doing that seems to be the key in your success as far as selling product and recruiting new distributors. Whether it is how you are talking to people, the words you use in your advertising or the traffic generating methods you use on the internet, make note of what is working and what isn't so you can teach that to your down-line. You would be amazed to know how many network marketers try to build a business teaching others how to do things they can't do themselves. It just doesn't work.

Once you have identified the things that are working for you, you need to learn how to teach others to do the same. While this may seem obvious, the fact of the matter is that being good at something does not automatically qualify you to teach it. There are professional athletes who are not good coaches, just as there are good coaches who aren't or weren't great athletes. Training someone to do something is a skill in itself, and if you can do it in this business you are truly successful.

One of the biggest reasons that it can be very difficult to build an organization is that so many distributors quit before they even have any success. The way to avoid this is by training new reps immediately and effectively to get their business into profit as soon as possible. Do not work with more than 1 or 2 new reps at a time so you can give them your undivided attention. The more you spread yourself thin, the less and less effective you are and the more likely your new distributors will fail and quit before they ever had a chance.

Now, most would think that their job is done once their new business partner has been trained, can sell product and can recruit on their own. However, there is one major piece of the puzzle that separates the men from the boys. The one trick that will grow your business exponentially. What is it? It is to train your reps on how to train. I'm guessing you probably have never even considered this to be something you need to do. However, it is a very important step. Like I said, training is a skill in itself and you are not automatically qualified to do it. So just as you do with the selling product and recruiting, you need to identify what works with your training and learn to teach that as well. Once you can do this, you are unstoppable.

To sum it all up, you need to identify what you do well and gives you the ability to sell product, recruit distributors and train the newbies. If you can teach others to do those three things the way you do them, your down-line will grow faster, stronger and generate more money for a longer period of time than you ever thought possible.
