How to Eliminate Buyer's Resistance for More Signups and Higher Income

May 30, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 175

While I do understand this approach and agree that it works I also understand the other side of it which is being afraid of rejection from your family members and the embarrassment of pitching your opportunity to complete strangers. And I understand that as a result of this fear of pitching to your family members and strangers, most network marketers fail before they even get started. Because of this problem I figured I'd solve it by demonstrating how to eliminate buyer's resistance.

Cold Prospecting: Delivering a sales presentation to people who don't know you, have never heard of you before, and have no trust in you to buy what you're selling.

99% of network marketers use this tactic to generate the majority of their leads and I feel for them. It's how it was taught to them from the get-go and it's all they know. It's all their uplines do and preach.

The fact is cold prospecting sucks. It's humiliating for all struggling networkers. It's uncomfortable and awkward to go up to complete strangers with little confidence or a fake facade and trying to play the part of a successful businessman. It's demoralizing every time you get turned down. There are, however, many networkers who use this strategy and are extremely successful. But to be truthful, you have to have really thick skin to take all the rejection and not just absorb it, but really surge through it all. The fact is these tactics aren't for everyone.

People like myself prefer doing it another way.

I for one prefer the path of least resistance. I like to do things more strategically and thought out. But that's just me and maybe you're the same way. I also don't like failing 99% of the time just to succeed that 1% of the time. I like to have high conversions for my work. And let's face it, unless you're a Todd Falcone, a Ray Higdon, or a Mark Weiser, your cold prospecting conversions are more than likely gonna be shitty in the beginning.

That's why I consider the strategy I use a lot more powerful and easy. It's called positioning and it's something I learned from one of the greatest marketers of all time, Dan Kennedy. The better you can position yourself before the sale, the easier the sale is going to be. Another way of saying it would be that the more trust you can build with the prospect beforehand, the more it lowers buyer's resistance and leads to a sale. This is such a powerful strategy that the top income earners in this industry use to perfections. And here's how you do it:

You want to provide as much valuable, free content as possible to your prospects. This would include free reports, articles, audio recordings, video presentations, getting them on webinars, or blog posts just to name a few. You see the more valuable content you put out into the world,

1. the higher the likelihood that you get noticed 2. the more you position yourself as a leader and authority figure 3. the more trust and following you build, which in turn eliminates buyer's resistance

Once you can successfully start having prospects come to you and asking you for advice, instead of the other way around, then you'll start seeing your conversions up and you'll also have less gray hairs. It's also an indicator that you're actually marketing effectively. If you use this simple strategy of positioning you'll be on your way to the top 1% of networkers in this industry.
