Tips to DJ Your First Party

When you get an offer to DJ a party certainly you have to prepare yourself. If it is your first party the first thing that you should know is your crowd. It is necessary to know your crowd before you DJ. You can only keep your audience busy if you will play the music of their choice. If you know a little bit about your crowd then you can ask them about their taste for music and you can play the same music so that everything goes well. You can visit the club some days prior your first performance as a DJ so that you can get an idea about what kind of crowd frequents the dance floor and what kind of music is played their most of the time so that you can prepare yourself.

Before you go to give your first performance as a DJ listen to different tracks to make yourself acquainted with the latest music. You can buy these tracks to match your beats. In this way you can practice on your equipment to make new tracks and match with the original ones. When you practice on your equipment you can record the mixes so that you may listen it and get an idea about your weak points. Convert your recordings in CDs to distribute them among your friends and get their opinion about your performance. You may also go to different clubs where DJs give performance similar to your taste. You may hand over your CD to them so that they may hire you when ever required.

Always keep yourself in touch with the latest changes and new tracks that come in the market so that you may evolve your skills with time. When you get a chance to give your first performance keep a well modulated voice which can enliven the party. It is your voice which can give you a good success in future. So, be prepared with a modulated and clear voice. Dress yourself as a professional DJ so that you are appreciated by the audience both for your looks as well as for your work.

Equipment is another important component for giving a good performance as a DJ. Check all your equipment before you leave to DJ your first party. Your equipment should be in a good working condition so that you may perform without any interruption.

You should have one goal in mind when you go to DJ your first party that you have to entertain people by using your skills. You have to use your skills in the most appropriate manner to win praise from your audience at your first performance.
