What's Your Motivation?

I know how it is! You are looking for motivation, another day is here and you just don't feel like doing a thing about your fitness. There is great news. You are not alone! Furthermore, you can do something about it and the best part is, it does not involve getting physical just yet. In this first installment of The Chronicles of the X, you are going to be impacted in a positive way and motivate yourself and get back on track to health and fitness! But wait there is more! The bonus, is this will help with live in general. The best part of all. Let's get the party started.

Here is a question for you. What is your mode of motivation? What? You don't know what I am talking about? Well let me help you with that. As a "My Life Expert" I am afforded the opportunity to speak about what works for me in my life and share it with you so you can see if works for you in yours. So back to the question I asked you. What is your mode of motivation? As for me, I find my motivation in music. Moreover, because of the advent of technology, I find it hard to NOT stay motivated because it's everywhere. As a matter of fact, I am listening to some music right now as I write this article right on my computer but I digress.

Here is the purpose of the article. Perhaps it's time to get matched with music! As an "Improvement Coach" I spend my time helping others improve their life through fitness, self defense or speaking. So what happens when I need motivation? Well, at this moment, I get energized by listening to Pandora on my phone or PC and specifically, Pharrell Radio. There is something about the energy and the way it sounds that just pumps me up and ready to tackle the world! At times, I will just listen and allow the music into my body and find myself dancing even when no one is looking! This is what works for me!

So let me give you some tips to subscribe to when you need a little boost in your life!

  • Find your connection to music. For you it could be something else like something visual, but it has never been as effective as music for me!
  • Allow the music to move you. I mean there are certain songs that just make you feel like you are on top of the world. Find those songs, listen to them and let them move you to IMPROVEMENT!
  • Don't be so hard on yourself! There is nothing worse than looking at yourself in the mirror and calling yourself fat or out of shape, or whatever it is you say when you look at your body in the mirror. I sometimes do this myself but I catch myself and correct myself, for those words can do serious damage to your confidence. Even if you are kidding with yourself, you will eventually start to believe what you say to yourself, so replace the negative with more positive and stick with that!

So there you have it. I have shared some of what works for me when I need to get motivated to motivate others, as it works for me! Try it out and see if it works for you and let me know how it turns out.

My purpose in life is to: Impact, Inspire, and Improve the lives of Others! I am enjoying the path of purpose I am on and I look forward to helping others reach their best self! We all have a purpose in life, so what is yours? It's not about me, it's about the purpose of M.E.
