Have you ever wanted something to be different? Have you ever wanted to wake up and not feel compelled to gorge yourself on a sweet breakfast or choke yourself with a cigarette? Have you ever wanted to start being more compassionate, but no matter how hard you tried, you find that you can't help being judgmental? Have you ever wanted to wake up and just be happy?

If you answered yes to one of these questions, or could answer yes to a question like that, if you've ever wanted something in your life to be different...congratulations! You're a certifiable human being!

Wanting to be 'better' is a natural human condition, and it's probably responsible for much of our current technological sophistication. Despite all the warnings of imminent doom, human beings have made this world a marvel. Huge pieces of metal carrying hundreds of passengers fly through the air! An invisible network of information connects almost very spot on the planet to every other. Of course, things could always be better, and we're working towards more sustainable way of doing things, but that doesn't mean we should discount or condemn our previous successes. We've come a long way, and it's only right to be proud of the achievements the human race has had.

Knowing now that most (if not all) human beings want to change something about their lives, it may come as a surprise to you that at least 80% of changes fail and fail fast. In every country in the world, in every state in America, in every city in each state, in every neighborhood in those cities, and in every house in those neighborhoods most people want their lives to be different. To be sure, there are some who want things to stay the same, but I really believe those are the minorities. Sure, we all resist change to some degree, especially when it's coming in an unexpected way from an unplanned area, but most people want their lives to be different. And I'm guessing because you've gotten this free guide, you want something in your life to change.

Maybe you want to lose weight. Maybe you want to get stronger. Maybe you want to become more intelligent or increase your vocabulary. Maybe you want to spend less time at the office and more time with your family. Maybe you want to work less and earn more. Maybe you want to enjoy life. Maybe you just want to be happy. Whatever it is that you want in your life, whatever facet that you want to change, take heart, it is possible.

A problem well stated is a problem half solved....but how do you go about figuring out the other half? To make any change, you've got to familiarize yourself with yourself. That's where it all begins and ends.
