As you go on with your life over time, you might probably encounter a number of trials and difficulties along the way. This is not surprising since trials and challenges are common to us humans. As the saying goes, 'a gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.' This is true as we go along to pursue our dreams and aspirations in our lives, trials are already expected. We have to face a number of challenges. But depending on the person, such things or even just simple events that went out beyond their expectations can be considered stressors. Some may even plummet into depression and worst, nervous breakdown. You don't want to experience it, do you?

One great way to free your mind and mitigate if not totally eradicate the effects of those stressors is through Qigong meditation. You might already know a number of meditations though Buddhists, yogis and ayurvedic doctors who said that such practices can improve health and well-being of an individual. However, Qigong stands out from the rest with its countless benefits.

The practice of Qigong can be traced back to China for 2000-3000 years ago. It is defined as the task of learning to control the flow of qi (life energy) through your body by using breath, movement and meditation. Currently, this kind of meditation is getting popular among many people all over the world because of its several positive side-effects. It is a great way to attain tranquility and cultivate vital energy. Moreover, Qigong meditation is a mental and/or physical exercise that develops and conditions the mind and body for the purpose of health, healing, longevity, and opening wisdom. Here are some of the benefits that you can get from Qigong meditation:

Reduces Stress and Generate Vitality

If you want to reduce stress and create vitality within your body, then, Qigong is a great option for you. When you are performing Qigong meditation, you will have an improved blood and lymphatic flow, and enhanced nerve conductivity. It also positively affects the brain waves, brain coherence, and brain chemistry. Moreover, it enhances the efficiency of all physiological systems, and increases the immune response and longevity.

Balances Emotional Responsiveness

One of the positive side-effects of Qigong is it releases emotional holding patterns and opens appropriate emotional responsiveness. In other words it balances your emotions and opens your heart. With the smooth and balanced flow of qi, you can have a joyful, relaxed, optimistic and energized state of mind. Forget about those negative emotional energies such as anger, fear, and anxiety as they will be much less 'sticky' through Qigong meditation.

Attain an Active Mind

Want to achieve an active mind? With Qigong, you can achieve a clear, expanded, and focused mind. Such type of meditation can improve your ability to focus, release from negative mindsets, and observe yourself with detachment. Meditation such as Qigong has a direct effect on one's intelligence. It increases the neural pathways created in both hemispheres of the brain. As a result of that, you have your "whole-brain functioning," enhancing your creativity, intuition, and increased learning aptitude.

Enhance Spiritual Awareness

Many people practice Qigong as a way to develop spiritual empowerment. It can enhance your spiritual awareness by generating a feeling of wholeness and integrity. Thus, it is a great way to improve your ability to cultivate and refine the universal life force within you. Generally, it can empower you to actively participate in achieving the life you desire.

All in all, Qigong meditation emphasizes on the development of mind and spirit through calm conditioning of both body and emotion. By utilizing your mind to relax your body, you can then adjust your emotional attitude, and eventually lead qi along specific pathways through your body. With those, you can avoid from negative energies to impact on your life and you're on your way to a healthy living.
