I Love Meditation

February 20, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 83

I LOVE- enjoying the silence during my meditation session.

Because- It is nice to have breaks from all the noise.

Action towards- Find 30 seconds anywhere and just listen. Maybe when you get up alone in the night or while sitting on a secluded bench somewhere. Just any old quiet spot will do, because the magic is in the listening.

I LOVE- the feeling of being calm and refreshed right after meditating.

Because- It makes me less tense and tight and lowers pain levels.

Action towards- Set a time to meditate, just before starting scan your body and notice what feels tight or uncomfortable- even your mood. Maybe grade it 1-10 for displeasure vs. bliss (or some similar gauge that works for you). Now do your meditation as usual. Immediately when the time ends, but before you get up, notice those areas again and see if anything changed. Most of the time I feel better than before, even if just a bit sometimes.

I LOVE- how easy it is to just start- anywhere, anytime.

Because- I can't stand being encumbered and having to get a lot of gear or be set-up making it be harder than I'm willing to commit the energy to.

Action towards Are you somewhere right now that you could just relax, take a deep breath, close your eyes and count slowly to 10. Then your in a fine spot to meditate. If you will try it, just take a few moments or however long you wish right now and focus.

I LOVE-that after meditating for awhile, you start feeling better and better.

Because- Having an easier time calming down and noticing your level of awareness when stressed makes life go much more smoothly and leaves you more peaceful and happier.

Action towards- START! Today. Then repeat tomorrow and keep practicing!

I LOVE- that there are so many ways to meditate, really anyone can find something to try.

Because- Everyone wants the benefits, without any baggage. Just make me feel great and get healthier and happier in a way that fits me.

Action towards- Try to do it even for 1 minute right now. Seriously. Close your eyes, take some relaxed deep breaths to loosen up and settle down for just a moment. There- you just meditated! And for anyone who is already a master mediation expert- there are many roads leading to a solid lifelong practice, which is your favorite?

There are many and varied ways possible to incorporate as styles of meditation to work with and try. There are also the many "Mind" benefits such as feeling better, and with things such as improved emotional resilience; which come with a steady lifelong practice. It's ingeniously simple, straightforward and readily available to anyone anywhere at anytime. Those great aspects combined with how good it is for your health as shown in many studies and trials, make it really worth attempting. That data speaks to how it is physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually healing and naturally beneficial it is to humans. And the only mandatory function you must provide is Attention; which the easiest way to do that is just by watching your breathing. You're going to be breathing anyhow, so having it as an anchor is the easiest choice which further proves how accessible and portable a practice could be. No strings attached and you get all the perks. Meditating is so worth trying.
