Ocean Wave Derivative Algorithms for Ship Canard Stabilization and Sea Wave Energy Generation

Recently, NASA published an incredible research project which demonstrated the flows of our Earth's oceans. Special devices were placed in the water, and allowed to float around with the ocean currents, and after a year of tracking these by satellite scientists could look at the surface waters and exactly how they flowed. Much of this information was truly incredible, and although much of it was already known from ship logs, there was quite a bit of new information. Okay so, let's talk about this for second shall we?

Obviously, it makes sense that big cargo shipping companies, the U.S. Navy, and anyone with a large vessel, sailboat, or yacht can make use of this information. They will be able to sail the seas or power through with more efficiency saving fuel. It's all good, and it makes sense to do this. Now then, we are talking about are the ocean flows at the surface on a lateral plane. However, the ocean is not flat, oh on average it is, but the reality is that the ocean has waves on top, and those waves move up and down vertically as they come in at multiple angles.

Now that we know the general direction and flow of the water it makes sense to adjust the vessel for optimum performance over the actual waves. Now then, as we get new materials such as carbon nanotubes, and ultra-strong materials which can weather the ocean's salty water, it makes sense to put canards on the front and rear of the vessel to help the ship orient itself to each individual wave as it passes. Perhaps you are aware of the algorithms and mathematics used in derivative stock trading.

If so, you will immediately see the trend lines even within the volatility and fluctuation. This makes things very predictable, and it is a safer way to trade using this math allowing the trader to be right much more often, it's also nice to bet along these trend lines, rather than play each point in real time. If you look at an ocean wave, and a stock market chart as a technical analyst might, you can see that the mathematics used would be similar to determining what's coming next, and how to pre-position the ship and its angle of attack on the wave.

By doing this we can increase the speed of naval ships, and cargo ships allowing them to avoid some of the head on waves and blunt force slowing the ship down, while riding the waves down to increase speed and velocity saving energy, therefore saving fuel as well. That makes sense right? Not only does it make sense to use NASA's data to go with the flow, but it also makes sense to optimize that flow by reorienting the ship within it. My goal here is to save energy, increase performance, and take away the volatility and uncertainty of the powerful and mighty ocean.

Now then, I would submit to you that there are even more predictable waves on the shoreline, and by slightly adjusting the attitude of an ocean wave generation machine is possible to use the blunt force of each wave to its maximum potential. In essence you'd be doing the opposite, you'd be taking all the power from that wave head on to generate energy, by making sure your device slammed into that wave where it is densest, moving fastest, and therefore harnessing all the kinetic energy.

Perhaps you'd like to sit down with some mathematics to optimize our current ocean technologies. It has long been thought by evolutionists that mankind's origins did come from the sea, and if we are to get the most out of those humble beginnings, then we need to understand the forces of nature and how to work best with them, or against them to serve our will.

There is no doubt that aquatic life does this all the time to get to where they wish to be, while surviving and thriving in the sea. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
