How Printed Banners Can Virally Spread Your Campaign

Banners are perhaps the number one marketing tool for just about everybody. They not only allow you to gain instant visibility, but also allow your branding to be seen just about anytime and anywhere. With all of the benefits, it is important to understand what you need to include on your banner. It should not only include effective copy, but also include bright colors and imagery, as well as a short and concise call to action.

There are tons of resources for creating a strong and vibrant banner. With that being said, there are some important points to remember when it comes to making an effective one. Below are three tips to keep in mind before you get to work on your marketing campaigns.

Short, Casual, Call To Action - All of this is of course referring to the copy. The copy of your banner should be short and to the point; casual and conversational in tone; and as always include a call to action. By including a call to action you not only entice your reader to interact with your brand, but also motivate them to remember them.

Die Cut Shape - Make sure that the shape of your banner is intricate in shape. This not only gets more eyeballs to your banner, but also positions your brand as a creative and innovative company within your industry. So try to think of shapes that will embody your brand, and go from there. For example, a chiropractor could include a spine, a dentist could include a toothbrush, etc. These are all great and innovative ways to ensuring you get the most from your banner.

Contrasting Color Scheme - Make sure that your colors are rich in hues. They should not only incorporate all of your branded colors, but also include accent colors that will draw the prospect's eye to certain areas of the banner. By doing this, you will not only guide your prospect to what is most important, but you will also allow you to highlight what your company offers best.

When you are done, it is important to realize that banners should speak to a wide variety of people. They should also be easily recognizable as coming from your company. So be sure that all of your banners' details are similar - from the website to the postcard. All branding should encompass the same color scheme that you currently use on the website, brochure, postcard and flyer.
