Flyer Marketing for the Small Business Owner

Flyers are perhaps the number one marketing asset for just about anybody. Due to their form, they allow you to spread word to a large group of people, and also allow you to disseminate information to just about everybody you know. Dissemination to a large group of people is what matters most. As a result, try and target a specific region and track results for that area. Below are the top five tips for improving your flyer marketing campaign.

Distribution Tactics - Distribution of your flyers is perhaps one of the most important things to getting your flyer out there. Face to face contact with your prospect is best. It puts a face to your brand and allows you to simply and easily connect with your customers, as well as follow-up with them. This is perhaps the best way to do it.

Simplistic and Casual Design - The design of your flyer should be easy to read and easy to understand. As a result, try and think of ways to incorporate different aspects of your personal style. This could include different characters found within your business's logo. Just try to make it as easy on the eye as possible.

Original Shape - Make sure that the shape of your flyer is original. Try to create your own shape. This will help in getting eyeballs to your flyer, and allowing you to introduce your products and service to the prospective customer.

Casual Copy - The copy of your flyer should be light, casual, and conversational. Having a conversational flyer will help in introducing your services, but will help in forming a relationship with the prospect that will allow them to relate to your brand. Relating to your brand is imperative in understanding what you need to have done.

Exciting Imagery - You should always try to have exciting images. By having images that are in motion, you are able to better entice the reader into what you are saying. By enticing them, you are better able to sell your services and lead them through a specific thought process.

When you are done with your flyers you should share it with friends, family and coworkers. This feedback will probably be the most honest, as well as the most thorough as it is coming from people that know you best. So be sure that the feedback is applied to not only your flyers, but your brochures, postcards and banners as well.
