Bookmarks are perhaps the best way to get in front of a very targeted group of people. They not only allow you to easily and simply be on top of mind whenever your recipient is relaxing, but they also provide the unique ability of being a beneficial tool to the recipient. This not only helps drawing the recipient into your brand, but also helps in motivating them to take action on your call to action. Below are the top tips to ensuring that you get the most from your bookmark marketing campaign.

Copy - Make sure that the copy you choose is short concise. This will not only help in getting the most from your brand, but will also help in messaging your baked goods. The copy that you include, should reflect your bakery - from the quality of the ingredients to the service.

Paper - Make sure that the paper you choose is thick enough to withstand everyday wear and tear. This will not only help in creating a substantial bookmark, but will also help in getting them passed around. The more your bookmark is passed around the better chances it will have of capturing customers. This after all, is the best way to ensure that you not only get the highest results, but that you also have a long lasting bookmark.

Images - Make sure that the images that are on your bookmark speak to your target demographic. Each image should have a specific reason for being there. Space on your bookmark is of the utmost importance, it should not only be treated as an asset, but should also be as clean as possible. So try to avoid heavy imagery, and opt for something with a clean and finished style.

Shape - Make sure that the shape of your bookmark is something that will not only help in getting you the attention you need, but something that will embody your brand. Try to think of objects that speak to your brand and go from there. For example, you could make a bookmark in the shape of a doughnut, or even better an éclair.

When you are done, make sure that you get all of the feedback possible about your bookmark. This will not only help in ensuring that your bookmark is the best it can be, but will also help in your other marketing campaigns as this feedback can easily be translated to brochures, mailers and flyers.
