India is famous for its matchless beauty, rich culture, different religions and beliefs, numerous festivals, diverse geographical demography, heritage, art, marvelous landscapes, lofty mountains, sun kissed deserts, exotic beaches and everything else that makes it a wonderful tourist destination for everyone. From the paradise like "Kashmir" to the God's own country "Kerala", from the vast and lofty Himalayas to the desert of Thar, it offers one everything that suits the taste to travel and explore more.

India promises to be a tourist destination that could leave anyone spellbound. There are over 200 National parks in India. The Indian wildlife parks are home to many endangered species and almost half of the world's tiger population is found in India.

Kanha is like a second home to tigers. In this park, India preserves this ferocious creature which is almost on the verge of extinction. It is located in the city of Madhya Pradesh in the district Mandla. This National park spreads over an area of 1,940 Sq Km. One can see herds of Spotted Deer, Black Buck and the beautiful Antelope. There is also a possibility to spot the Rare Barasingha (Swamp Deer) in this park. There are 200 varieties of birds in Kanha. It acts as a treat for bird watchers. However, the major attraction of Kanha National park is the tiger and it requires lot of patience to spot the tiger. Other than these one can even spot Porcupine, Gray Langurs, Mongoose, Jungle Cat, Hyena and Leopard in this park.

Ranthambore National Park is the biggest and the most famous national park in Northern Part of India. It is located in Sawai district of Rajasthan and spreads over 1,334 Sq Km. Ranthambore National Park was considered as the hunting ground for Maharajas of Jaipur. This park is mainly known for tigers as they are easily spotted in the park. It is a famous heritage site and is surely a treat for every wildlife and nature lover. There are numerous varieties of exotic birds also present in Ranthambore National Park.

Corbett Tiger Reserve is located in foothills of the vast and majestic Himalayan range. This park is famous for its wild population of tigers, elephants and leopards. Corbett National Park was established in 1936. The topography of this park comprises of both hilly and reverie areas. More than 110 tree species, 50 mammal species, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species are found in this park. Elephants are also one of the main attractions of Jim Corbett Park.

Spread over 116 square miles, Gir Sanctuary has been mainly created to protect the last wild population of Lion outside African region. Gir National Park is surrounded with Acacia and Banyan trees and mixed deciduous forests. Gir is not just about Lions, however, it is home to the largest leopard population in any park of India. Smabar Deer, Chital Spotted Deer, Chowsingha Four Horned Antelope, Nilgai Antelope, Wild boar are some famous wild animals found in this park.

There is a lot to see and explore in National Parks of India. One can go for elephant rides and explore the dense jungles with nature in its best form.
