The Main Advantages Of Mini Websites Or Squeeze Pages And How They Can Benefit Your Online Marketing

A mini website, landing page or squeeze page as it is sometimes known is a simple one page website designed for the specific purpose of getting a reaction from a potential customer. Why use them?

In the first instance they are used to capture a potential customer's email address and name in order to put them via an autoresponder onto a permission based email marketing list. In the second instance they can be set up to promote a particular product or service that you are selling and which you feel would be better served by having a presence on the internet to drive customers to it. The point there is that the squeeze page still drives your customer to your website, but their awareness of the product is substantially raised.

The squeeze page can also act as a "sales letter" and can be packed with benefits and calls to action that you would not have room for on your main website. An example would be an anorak from a supplier that has won rave reviews from customers, and which has been awarded a very high rating by a recognised authority. All of this can be put on a single squeeze page and if a bonus such as a free water bottle for hikers is included it can add up to a very attractive package. Squeeze or landing pages are also a great way to do a split test on your products or services.

How then to set up such a squeeze page. Obviously a separate domain name has to be registered and this should match the purpose of the squeeze page as closely as possible. Therefore if you are in the internet marketing business a domain name such as easyandquickmarketingtips could be used. If this domain name is not available or appears to be too clumsy then easy-and-quick-marketing-tips will do just as well and the fact that there are hyphens in the name will not make the slightest difference to the domain's effectiveness.

Next you can upload a free software package such as WordPress to your site and find themes and plug ins (many of which are completely free) that are used to turn the WordPress "blog" into a website. Obviously you need to know what you are doing, but there is plenty of free information about doing this on the search engines. Failing that there are many freelancers out there who will set up your squeeze or landing page for very little money.
