A Little Piece Of Texas Anyone?

April 12, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 124

When you think of Texas you envision beautiful sunrises, sunsets, wide blue skies and miles & miles of woods and open country perfect for raising some of the best beef in the U.S. There's nothing quite as enchanting as Texas ranch land filled with grazing cattle and dotted with white tail deer, turkey and many other types of wildlife. If this appeals to you, maybe you should consider investing in central Texas land, whether it be for ranching, hunting or recreation. Now that winter is upon us, you can expect to see a light dusting of snow or a glistening of frost on the central Texas land. If you're looking for "a little piece of Texas", central Texas' "Top of the Hill Country" rural acreage is among the prettiest, most productive in the state.

Having grown up in rural and small-town Texas, the first thing I wanted to do when I grew up was to move to the big city. As soon as I could, I did just that. Now, after having lived in Austin, Los Angeles and Dallas I'm back in rural Texas living on a ranch between Hamilton and Hico not too far from where I was raised. After years of city life there is no comparison to the richness of life you can experience living in the country. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful existence there's an abundance of central Texas land for sale where you can find just what you're looking for, whether it be a weekend getaway or a permanent residence.

Not only can you find the solitude you're searching for, there are still interesting, fun things to do when you're looking for a little excitement. The surrounding towns offer a variety of entertainment from antique and gifts shops to seasonal festivities such as the Hamilton Dove Festival to herald the opening of fall and dove-hunting season in the "Dove Capital of Texas" to the annual steak cook-off in Hico, Texas each spring. If you like rodeos and pure country music, there's always something going on at the Circle T Ranch Arena three miles west of Hamilton. Meridian, Texas has annual chili and barbeque cook-offs that are always fun for the whole family. The word "bored" should never come up in your conversation just because you live in the country.

In light of extremely volatile markets over the past few years, it has been our personal experience that not only is an investment in Texas ranch land something to be enjoyed since it's a tangible, usable asset, it's also one of the best investments we've ever made. In these uncertain economic times, you might want to consider reallocating a portion of your long-term investments toward central Texas ranch land or central Texas hunting land. It ain't Heaven, but it's about as close as you can get.

Consider the counties of Bosque, Hamilton, Coryell, Erath or Mills in north central Texas to fulfill your dreams of owning a central Texas ranch, recreational or hunting property.
