Simplest Secret To Doing Well In The Job Interview

May 27, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 195

In this article, I would like to go over why its important to plan out answers to possible questions that you may be asked during a job interview. The first reason that comes to mind is it gives you a feeling of certainty. Human beings love certainty, in fact there are some of us that will do anything to get this feeling. This is no different when we are faced with a job interview. In my opinion, the reason why people get nervous during the job interview is because they are not to certain about how things will go during the interview, and as a result they get nervous. The best way to get over this feeling is to plan responses to all the possible questions that could throw you off balance during the interview process. As a result of planning, you will feel some what relaxed about the up coming job interview, and increase the likely hood of you getting the job.

A further reason why planning is important, is if you were put in a position where the interviewer asks you to talk about yourself, you will have some ides of things you could talk about. This will make you seem well prepared, confident, and responsible in the eyes of the interviewer. This will give you an extra edge over people who wants the same job.

Moreover, you also have another added advantage, you have the ability to control the direction of the conversation. If you figure out all the possible things that could go wrong, you at some level know what to do to make things go right. The advantage here is you can take the conversation to places that will make you look good in the eyes of the interviewer.

Beyond this, remember to have good body language. You want to remember to keep your back straight, and your feet flat on the floor. Not only will this make you look good in the eyes of the interview, but by adjusting your body this will be effect the way you feel. Notice the difference in how you feel when your back is slouched instead of straight.

When your back is straight you may feel more confident, alert and so forth. Realize, that just by adjusting the way you feel will make a big difference during the job interview process.

Overall, simply taking time out to plan what you will say during the job interview, and controlling your emotions will increase your chances of getting the job.
