Up Your Lifestyle - Buy A San Diego Home

March 30, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 111

California is considered to be one of the best places to live in the U.S. For decades people have been pulling up roots in the Midwest or East Coast and relocating to the Golden State. Of course the warm climate is what draws most folks to California but the abundance of leisure activities, a booming arts and culinary culture as well as a wide array of job opportunities keeps them here. Hollywood and Los Angeles are the ultimate destinations for aspiring actors, while Santa Barbara and Orange Counties draw more of the family crowd.

Just about any town on the coast will deliver the "California Dreamin" lifestyle. One such coastal town, San Diego, is perhaps one of the most desirable places to live in Southern California. With endless spans of beach, plenty of industry, entertainment, culture and rich Spanish history, this town is a shining jewel in California's crown. There is ample housing in this Southern California town as well. Residents can choose from beachfront apartments, hillside bungalows, historic adobe houses or a variety of new homes.

Those who live in San Diego seem to have especially rewarding lifestyles. In addition to the abundance of homes there is also plenty to do. Museums, animal parks, eateries, coffee shops, night clubs and theaters offer plenty of entertainment. In fact, San Diego has been ranked the second most playful city in America. Romance also blooms in this coastal community with so many interesting things to do, San Diego has been ranked as the third best American city for dating.

The most Southern areas of California have seen a 0.13 percent increase in jobs recently. The thriving downtown business district and many port related businesses in S.D. offer every type of job for white and blue collar workers alike. Ample housing and a variety of work locations allow most residents to commute no more than 25 minutes to work each day. Surprisingly all of this work and play apparently helps people to get better night's sleep. In a national study, San Diego residents reported more restful nights than did people in most other cities. Only the residents of Honolulu reported getting more rest on a regular basis than did S.D. natives. So if you are looking for a sunny place to live where you can work hard, play hard and get a good night's sleep, a San Diego home could be a great place for you.
