Life On The Water: Luxury In A Compact Package

February 24, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 132

Spending time on the water can be an amazing experience. The peace and quiet that comes from being miles away from the noise and bustle of the city, and the cool, refreshing aquatic breezes are things you just have to experience to truly appreciate. Life on the water lets you push away from the dock, leave all the distractions behind, and focus on the things you enjoy. Modern boats let you bring a great many of the comforts of home out onto the water, albeit in a smaller, more compact package. With space at such a premium, it's important to find any way you can to make more efficient use of it. A pop up TV lift can help you do just that.

Another kind of device which can help make better use of space in your boat is a swivel TV mechanism. These are designed to allow your TV to rotate from side to side for maximum flexibility in viewing angles. This gives you added flexibility in deciding where to place the unit, since the housing itself need not face the viewing area directly.

Now, as we talk about TV lifts, it's important to remember that the term "pop up TV lift" can be thought of as a generic term for a wide range of devices which act to conceal the TV when it's not being used. There are several different varieties from which to choose, which in addition to the namesake pop-up enclosure, can also include slide-out and fold-down unit as well. Many of these models can incorporate a swivel TV mechanism for the ultimate in space-saving versatility.

When you're considering which kind of TV lift system to install in your boat though, there are some additional factors you need to consider. A unit designed for home or business use might not be the best choice for marine applications. A pop up TV lift that's specifically designed for marine use will normally be sealed to guard against environmental hazards such as moisture and unexpected motion that can damage the components of other lifts.

These pop up TV lifts come in a variety of sizes as well, able to handle flat screens as large as 42 inches. They're also prewired with all the connections you need for a wide variety of control options, such as a simple switch, infra-red remote, or even touch screen inputs. They also feature cable-management systems to conceal and protect the wiring that connects your TV to all of its input sources.
