Without a doubt, dealing with annoying health issues can really bring you down. Leaky Gut Syndrome, or also known as intestinal hyper permeability, is one of the uncomfortable conditions people normally deal with on their own. Especially with cases of leaky gut Syndrome, it is important that the patient identifies the causes of leaky gut in their body so they know how to deal with it. By knowing what the causes of it are, the right treatment can be done. This is how individuals are able to get rid of the horrible condition causing their small intestine to function poorly.

When it comes to dealing with the causes of leaky gut syndrome, it is pretty typical for people to look at food allergies, oxidative stress, malnutrition, and inadequate digestion as the most common ones. Because these conditions have a tendency to cause the small intestine to be infected, inflamed, or even traumatized, it is good to know how best to deal with the underlying problem so the condition can be controlled. As such, there are many people who want to know why these conditions are perceived as a contributing factor to the onset of leaky gut Syndrome in the body.

There are two main causes of leaky gut that are often attributed by poor diet. Once an individual's stomach is unable to digest the food properly, the large particles of food reach his small intestine. Because of the absence of pancreatic digestive enzymes, the food is unable to get broken down into small particles for the proper absorption by the small intestine. Also, malnutrition is one of the most common reasons for the condition that people tend to neglect. Especially with the number of unhealthy foods of today, it can really be difficult to get the nutrition needed by the body to function properly.

Food allergies are also considered as one of the biggest causes of leaky gut syndrome. This is often the result of an individual's delayed reaction to everyday foods. Since this produces an immune reaction to the foods mediated by certain immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies, their symptoms many not occur until after a few hours or days from ingestion. The most common food allergies include eggs, wheat, soy, dairy, and nuts. For those who have not yet discovered that they are allergic to these foods, it may take a while before symptoms start to occur.

Lastly, local or systemic inflammation has also been recognized as one of the many causes of leaky gut syndrome. Because these conditions compromise the small intestine's permeability, leaky gut syndrome starts to occur. When there is an injury, food allergy, bacteria, or poorly digested food particles in the intestine, the organ starts to create cytokines, an inflammatory compound that increase the space between the cells of the intestine. As such, they have been known to trigger the condition. By knowing what the most common causes of the syndrome are, individuals are able to get the help they need from their physician. They can be given the help they need so that the condition can be eradicated.
