Find Happiness by Being O.K.

People who are trying to find happiness have to have a vast amount of things that they consider to be o.k. Meaning, we need to develop reactions that will enable us to accept, tolerate, and ignore the many things that annoy, irritate, and frustrate unhappy people. Some people need things to be just the way they link them in order for them to feel comfortable or to find happiness in whatever they are doing. The more rules and specifics that are needed for this level of comfort will ultimately lead to a persons unhappiness. There are always those people that you cannot stand interacting with. You need to be able to tolerate and be o.k. with certain things in order to find happiness. Usually, these people demand that everything has to be done exactly the way that they would like it in order for them to be satisfied. These people are usually the ones that are most critical and judgmental of others. These type of people get annoyed at minor and trivial matters that are not to their liking. If you are on the path to trying to find happiness than it would be wise to not be so critical of other people. Don't be like that for your benefit, and for the benefit of those people who interact with you.

You need to develop a sense of perspective by constantly reminding yourself and asking yourself "How important is this for me to fulfill my life's mission?" The clearer a person is about which values are truly important to you the easier it will be for you to accept and cope with those trivial and minor nuances that would have otherwise gotten you irritated. Furthermore, when you learn to cope with just being o.k. remember that there are some aspects of life that just wont fall out the way you wanted them to be.

If you want to be able to test your limits of tolerance I would engage in a strict schedule of depriving yourself of things I used to think I could not do without. For example, cut down on your favorite type of food and you are automatically a few steps closer to reaching your goal.

By going to the extreme of not living with the normal luxuries you are used to shows you that you can find happiness with much less than you thought you needed.
