Large amounts of stress on our bodies can result in terrible diseases, deterioration of your immune system and a lowering of your quality of life.

Since the eyes are part of your body system, they are also affected by stress. The more we get stuck in traffic, the more hours we work at jobs we don't like and the more pressure our families put on us, the more the stress builds up.

Have you ever been so uptight that you felt like your head would explode? Think of how much pressure you were putting on your blood vessels at that time. Did you also notice that your vision had become blurry and your eyes felt as if they would pop out of your head.

I know just how you feel because I used to do this to myself all the time. I would yell at other drivers, get all wound up at my job and go off the deep end at every little problem that developed. I couldn't sleep, couldn't think and my eyesight was getting worse.

Learning to de-stress and relax was the only way I could get my life back under control. After doing some research I discovered many ways to help myself and you might be able to put them to good use in your own life.

My wife and I enjoy a good walk in the woods near our home. We don't just walk, we stop to see the insects, the birds and the occasional deer. As we walk I can feel the pressure lifting from my entire body. I don't wear my glasses on these walks and I have noticed that my vision actually improves as we walk. This is a great way to de-stress.


There's that nasty word again. To get your entire body working the way it should, you need to exercise all parts of it. A good workout will get the blood flowing to the extreme ends of your limbs and also to your eyes. Fresh blood flow will revive your muscles, tendons and ligaments.

The human body is one of those wonders of nature, but it does have one big flaw. Too much stress will cause it to break down, develop diseases and shorten the life span. Learning to eliminate stress and relax is one of the best ways that you can help your own body to heal itself and become healthy again.
