Creating Relationships With Resonance

April 03, 2012 | Comments: 0 | Views: 197

I've found this article hard to write at first! Sometimes words just fall out of my head onto the page. Usually it's when I feel confident in myself. In the end, I decided to stop thinking and just start writing from the heart!

From early years I've felt uncomfortable in all kinds of relationships - with family, friends, partners... My history is chequered with destructive relationships that have obliterated my sense of self-worth.

Over the years, I've worked hard to mend the cracks and retrieve the shattered pieces of my heart. One day I noticed something... As I began to heal from my heartache and pains, my relationships started to change. I got to thinking (I do that a lot!). What if it was my relationship with my SELF that was determining the quality of the relationships I was having?

I started to pay more attention and noticed that when I was feeling terrible about myself, my relationships reflected that self-loathing and were very far from harmonious.

I have to say this was a VERY rude awakening! In discovering that I was responsible for creating my situation, I realised that I had to be accountable for what I was creating from there on in! I didn't like this idea much at first. Eeek! I was going to have to change if I wanted to have better relationships! That sounded like a lot of hard work!

The up-side was that the more I let go of my depreciating self-worth issues and embodied more joy, love and peace, I began to feel better. Some of my relationships improved and some people left my life - believe me, a good thing!

At this point I got super curious. I began to research a thing called 'heart resonance'. Being a natural explorer, I wanted to discover why my relationship with myself was altering the relationships around me?

What I discovered was mind-blowing! When we are in a positive emotional state, our heart emits an electromagnetic field that is 1000 times greater than that of the brain! The frequencies of the heart become highly coherent, meaning they can embed themselves into each other, thereby strengthening the field of coherent frequency. Huh?!! Translation please! Every time we experience positive emotions, our heart field EXPANDS and becomes MORE POWERFUL!

What's more, I also learned that negative emotions such as fear, anger, doubt, cynicism, etc. have 'destructive' frequencies. The beautiful thing is that a destructive wave CANNOT EVER BE SUSTAINED in the presence of a loving, coherent heart! This means the heart a person in a 'destructive' emotional state is unconsciously COMPELLED to either CONFORM and SYNCRHONISE with the 'up' emotions in the room, or LEAVE the building! No wonder people were leaving my life in droves!

Our dis-harmonious relationships also become a great indicator of whether we love ourselves enough! If we feel terrible about ourselves, our relationships reflect this and are 'difficult'! This explains why a mum's 'mood' will affect the rest of the family! If we're not happy in ourselves, our family reflects that back to us in the form of tantrums, arguments and general angst! Boy do I know it when my heart is not in a coherent state these days! There's nowhere to hide! Luckily it's easy to turn relationship angst around... the better our relationship with our self, ie the more gratitude, love and happiness we can feel in our own heart, the more quickly our relationships will transform to reflect that state.

Creating a resonant heart is the fastest most effective way to positively transform our relationships, and to build an empowered, positive and sustainable relationship with our self. I know this is true... I'm now engaged to the world's best man, with two cute 'munchkins', and life is beautiful!

Try This Mini-Meditation - Creating a Resonant Heart

Stop now and focus on your breathing. Watch the breath flow in and out. If your mind wanders, just notice this and return your attention to the breath. Now... imagine you can see a tiny spark of light in the centre of your heart. Breathe into the spark. With every breath feel peace enter your heart. Each time you breathe in, the spark grows brighter and brighter, and expands outward. Eventually your heart light encompasses your entire body and shines out into the world. With every breath you feel lighter, brighter, more loving and peaceful. Bathe in the loving light from your own heart and breathe. Now... send a beam of loving light from your heart to the heart of your family and friends. Let pure love resonate from your heart to theirs. Leave this beam in place, continuously flowing, and return your focus to your breathing.
