Stress And Overeating Part 2

In part 1 we discussed how powerful stress can be on your diet. Which is why I am going to give you 21 ways to decrease the amount of stress in your life right now!

Take Baths: This one isn't going to be appreciated as a de-stressor until you try it (I guarantee it'll put you in a better mood).

Call A Friend: The vast majority of us, just need to explain their side of things, and usually once that explanation is out in the open their fine again.

Eat Oranges: Their high in vitamin C, which bring blood pressure back to normal and cortisol levels as well.

Eat Dried Apricots: Their high in magnesium which is known to be a natural muscle relaxant.

Meditate: This one you probably know, yet why aren't you using it,, because it works.

Make A Great iPod Mix: The joy you feel from your best songs can drop cortisol by 60%.

Take Naps: I took one last week and it felt great!

Black Tea: Another supplement that can aid in lowering cortisol.

Hang Out With A Funny Friend: Or do what I do and watch your favorite comedians on YouTube.

Blueberries: Are one of those super foods that help regulate blood sugar levels.

Eat More Vegetables: They really are good for something!

Add A Little Turkey To Your Diet: Turkey contains the amino acid L-Tryptophan. This amino acid triggers the release of serotonin, which is a feel-good brain chemical.

Gum Chewing: It can make you hungry, yet its known to lower cortisol by 16%.

Get Spiritual: Create a values that you hold dear to yourself. The world's greatest and most confident leaders have values and believe in them strongly!

Deep Breathing: Another one that know, you just need to find time for it.

Praise: Show someone else some love. Yes you can benefit by helping someone else out!

Sweet Potatoes: This food usually does the trick for any carb craving I get.

Karaoke: Sing out loud and watch how good you feel in just short period of time.

Almonds, Pistachios, Walnuts: These heart healthy nut also provide a decent amount of vitamin B to keep your energy levels up!

Exercise Everyday: I workout 5x a week and for the other 2 days I use active rest. Get the blood flowing to your brain daily.

Look Around: Look around and find something you can take delight in. Whether it's the sunset or your old high school yearbook.

At the end of the day look to these de-stressors first before you turn to food. Because I guarantee you'll like the result a lot better.
